When there is NO republican onstructionism (as you so frequently refer to it) we end up with ALL of the democrats voting in a stupid and not very well thought out Affordable Care Act.. You should be thanking the republicans and tea party for balancing things out or you may well have been speaking Chinese by now !!
Yes we can backwards is Thank you satan... Watch it on you tube if you dont believe me !!
"Are you sure it was the Ukraine? Its a relatively small country with a horrible military."
It's not quite that small. It's bigger than Germany or France. It also the third largest grain exporter in the world.
I would say that Ukraine would be to Russia what Egypt was to the Roman Empire.
from CNN: "Russia supplies about 25% of Europe's gas needs, and half of that is pumped via pipelines running through Ukraine." " Ukraine is one of the world's top exporters of corn and wheat, and prices could rise even on concern those exports could halt." not to mention the financial impact to the world economy.
Maybe because of the port. I am not sure.
Someone said today on CNN that Russia would not be a super power without the Ukraine.
asknot, you may wish to rethink your impossible. while there is no pathway for leaving the uniion in the constitution, there have been at least 3 states that have sent a petition just to do that. now if we consider what happened in Waco to be an example at what length our Federal Government will do to it's citizens should they think they are even slightly independent, how measured would the response be if a state the size of texas did leave. i think you would see a rather quick military response within minutes and not hours. that is what i believe. those that protect us have the power to control us.
asknot, frankly at this point in time i am not certain that the President could or would do much more than what we are witnessing. Russia, like ourselves have the right to protect their assets around the world. this incursion does not wholly seem to fit that description. i think it has been a thorn in their sides ever since the break-up of the Soviet Union. i also firmly believe that should any States decide to leave our Union, you would see the same feelings expressed and probably a quick military response against our own people. i read where some have labeled this the "Pink-Line" moment for the president. he as well as the country seems to have placed themselves in a rather gnarly situtaion. this like the Syria is really out of his hands and his league. Perhaps Ambassador Rice could lend Putin a hand in the P.R. Department....it worked well here.
"Postal Press Association" that kind of speaks for itself doesn't it?
you are most likely correct and i agree..especially with Putin.
asknot, with the ineffectiveness of the United Nations and the willingness of the dictators and other two prominant world powers willing to fill the void, i would say that the only thing that changed was the United States. we allowed ourselves to be indebted to another world superpower, we have begun to give our sovereignty over to the United Nations, we have allowed our allies to be weakened due to our weakness, we have allowed a religion to instill fear in our citizens and we have allowed our enemies to fortify their military & develop nuclear weapons to be used agains us and our allies. we no longer lead but simply roll over.
my typing stinks as bad as the Presidents foreign policies at the moment. time for a shower.
asknot...the world is at a boiling point and think we in the past have been...good or bad...like the dictators in the middle-east. since we have backed off and given the world the impression that we had rather lead the world by concensus, i think it has done the opposite and embolded those that either feared us or waere simply lying in wait. either way the President may neeed someone to tell him that his "Red-Line" doesn't mean squat. as an American..it saddens me to even say that.
Putin will school obama "AGAIN" on how it is done.
Obama has Putin shaking in his shoes about the Ukraine military activity. He has threatened him with, with, uh, with... I am not really sure what he threatened him with. Neither is CNN.
Thanks all. I have tried cinnamon and I burp it up all day. I am only talking maybe 2 cans of pop a day. I much prefer coffee in the morning and water the rest of the time. I usually have milk or a pop only with a meal. Thanks for the advice. I appreciate it.
the greek: "A 2012 review of several recent studies concluded that the use of cinnamon had a potentially beneficial effect on glycemic control. One study published in 2009 found that a 500 mg capsule of cinnamon taken twice a day for 90 days improved hemoglobin A1C levels — a reflection of average blood sugar level for the past two to three months — in people with poorly controlled type 2 diabetes (hemoglobin A1C levels greater than 7 percent)." a friend of mine has diabetes and began taking cinnamin as a suppliment. he was able to get off of his medication with his doctors approval. that may not be the case with everyone, but it may be worth looking into.
greek- you don't have to drink soda, anyway. drink healthy 'stuff'. If you have a good well, that would be helpfull, but we don't need to be drinking something constantly. I know with your diabetes you tend to be thirsty, but there is a routine for those thus afflicted. It even allows for clearer thinking(-:
I know. Daughter has been telling me that. I cant hack the sweet pop though. I am not really understanding how diet is so bad though .
