between Hillary and Donald. the diference is glaringly clear as to who owes who. i find it odd that Hillaries Wall Street friends have so lovingly contributed to someone who has expressed so much disdain against them. i can see her now saying "i hate you, but thanks for the check" all the while either barking like a dog or cackling like a hen. Hillary being the front-runner for the demoratic machine, is a walking contradiction...that will be the nicest thing i can say about her. Bernie, while not my cup of tea is at least genuinely passionate about his politics unlike the political cameleon that is Hillary.

btw NCN, i appreciate your civil and factual response. it is refreshing. thank you.

NCN...i will ask you again. how much of the personal fortunes have Hillary or Bernie "loaned" their campaigns? it is much smarter to label the donation as a loan for many reasons. consider this....if Trump loans his campaign money, whom is he beholding to? well himself naturally. now ask yourself this....whom are the other candidates beholding to for their campaigns receipts? i feel certain it would not be themselvevs except in the situation where the "war chests " of non-contenders is transferred to another candidate. i had hoped you would agree that he, out of all of them, has used more of his "own" money than anyone else. Trump also stated that he would pull out of the race if he did not have the support from the american people. guess what, he has found support and is not only in the race but has become one of the front-runners when considering both parties. again...i ask you to compare the donor lists and the amounts in a head to head comparison betw

Trump said, "I'm self-funding my own campaign."

As of the end of 2015, Trump’s own contributions account for more than half of all money the campaign has taken in. He’s contributed far more of his own money than any other candidate this cycle.

However, a significant portion of his money comes from individual contributions. For several months last year, the campaign received far more dollars from potential voters than they did from Trump. Additionally, most of Trump’s contributions have been loans rather than donations, so he may hope to recoup those funds.

self funding I'm not so sure...

The vast majority of Trump’s contributions to his own campaign — about $12.6 million — are loans rather than donations. This means he could expect to eventually recoup these funds.

Further, of the approximately $12 million Trump’s campaign spent in 2015, about $2.7 million went toward reimbursing Trump-affiliated companies for services provided to the campaign, such as traveling in his own plane and helicopter, according to a New York Times analysis.

being self-funded as anyone...but he does accept donations and receives monies from his product sales. the telling numbers are the "bang for the buck" that he is getting over any other candidate. that i think you will have to agree with. like i said....look at the donors lists for the front-runners and see who is in whoms pocket.

NCN...i see your point. please consider that "when put in context", he has out-donated to his own campaign at a ratio of about 2.5:1. Considering the sheer amount of monies that Bernie and Hillary have raised, it might be a good exercise for you to see how much of their personal fortune they have kicked in to run their campaigns...especially Hillary since her personal wealth far exceeds Bernies. ABC News reports that presidential hopeful and GOP front-runner Donald Trump took in $7.5 million in donations between April 2015 and January 2016. Although Trump has proclaimed he is self-funding his entire campaign, he has acknowledged that he does allow supporters to make funds donations as well as make contributions via the purchasing of Trump for President gear. His most recent FEC filing reveals he has received $7.5 million from donors and that he has personally contributed, mostly through self-funded loans, over $18 million.

i think that he comes about as close to being se

I suspect that he is getting a ton of money from a few. Same with Hillary.

trump maintains that he is self funded, yet has received $9.5 million from donors...sort of erases that whole "self funded" speech don't you think??... I would be curious to know who the donors were...are they average people donating a few bucks, or is there someone in there that donated a lot in the hopes of getting something in return later??...

NCN...before you puppy-pee yourself over your "tickle me Elmo" post. You may wish to visit open secrets dot org and compare the list of donors and their respective dollar amounts given to Hillary and Donald. Guess who caters to the wealthy. Your idiots are after the wrong person...but idiots do what idiots do best.

The President’s FY2017 budget request seeks $3,865,000 in appropriations for expenditures for former Presidents, an increase of $588,000 (17.9%) from the FY2016 appropriation level. The increase in requested appropriations for FY2017 anticipates President Barack Obama’s transition from incumbent to former President,” the report reads.

most water mains are replaced by the municipalities or the water authorities. this cost is usually absorbed by the communities themselves. in some cases, they may apply for federal loans or grants rather than icreasing rates or selling bonds which would shift the cost to the customers or the city taxpayers themselves. all you need to do is review any recent annexations of non-incorporated properties to understand who actually bears the brunt of water and sewer extentions and connections.
