The why don't YOU attempt to explain why Dr Ben Carson is so popular with the R's if it is because of color. Dr Ben Carson does NOT comew across as "you better see it my way or the highway" attitude like barry does. Dr carson is an honest and sincere and respectful, loving person that cares about everyone and not just a few.

That is B u ll S h it Bob Barker and you darn well know it. Color has nothing to do with it for most of them. It the stupid decisions and lack of accountability and the fact that total morons and liberals are inhabiting the democratic party and they are in charge at this present time and they are screwing things up and blaming everyone from Bush to the Tea party !!

my typing skills are severely lacking when it comes to spelling government. it may have been that cute blonde in typing class that i was so enamoured with that kept me from aquiring the skill.

fred...thanks for agreeing. for too long i think our trade policies have been overgenerous to those in which we trade with. with the start of NAFTA with the Clintons and probably much sooner, i think that our political machine is really working in unison. many of the decisions that leave both side of the aisle scratching their respective heads has to be an indication that something may be amiss at the top levels of our governemnt or even the behind the veil notions. the so-called tea-party intrusion into the old-guard two party system was an eye-opener for me. either way when we begin to answer to the governemnt more than they answer to us, wewill surely know we are on a downward spiral to governemnt servitude.

BobBarker...i think it is said with more of a snicker than a sneer. the problem with trying new things is that the things he is trying has been done before with very little or any success..and not without a cost. fred is the history guru on here and can probably attest to almost every notion about governance has been already thought of and experimented with. it is funny how we as humans try and resurrect failed societal and political ideas while being falsely being arrogant enough to think they will work now simply because is we that are doing it and not they. silly humans.

fred ..i am afraid to say that Obama may give his wrist whiplash from whipping out the pen to ink that trans-pacific trade deal. why no threat of veto?

Tiredofit...the democrats have realized and capitalized on the rule of following the path of least resistance. they are the staples easy button of politics. i also think it is so hilarious how they ensure charity and compassion by legislating at what level our compassion will be. there is really no sense wating your time and expending the energy to reach into your own pocket to be charitable when it is just as easy to allow them to do it for you. the jobless claims dropped which is normally a reason to celebrate but it seems to be an obstacle in the democrats way for their rallying cry to extend unemployment benefits(entitlement...you get more out than you pay in). take the time to have your employer calculate up what they have paid in verses your potential accrued draw. i hope people realize that the employee pays nothing toward the unemployment insurance...which is not insurance. anyway in their minds, whether there is a fabricated victim or not, the democratic party will always cre

True, LTS. One thing we could use more of is a work ethic in this country. People on unemployment should consider their JOB to be finding a job 8 hours a day. But far too many ride the benefits to the end and then go look for work, I know several personally. Of course society has been getting more of an entitlement attitude for some time now and I don't think it's going to change soon.

Tiredofit, work ethic is a great thing. many things in life prove to be a great motivator, but the greatest is the parent that sets the wheels in motion in their children. both of my girls aquired jobs outside of my control while going not only to high school but college and eventually grad school for the oldest. the youngest will graduate with two full four year degress next spring. she accomplished that by accumulating two years of college credits while attending a local private college for her junior and senior year of high school....while working no less. unless one is physically or mentally handicapped in some debilitating fashion, i do not want to hear "i can't" when they actually mean "i won't". that is unacceptable.

I remember the first time my son went the hay fields, he was only about 8 and worked all day, as best he could, for a local farmer, the farmer paid him at the end of the day, he then handed the money to me. I handed it right back and told him you earned it like a man, you may spend it like a man. He held on to that for a long time.

"Indians were not the peaceful lot..."

I think anyone with a little bit of knowledge in North American history realizes that.

tiredofit, i think it is great that you and others provide your sustenance where you can. when i was in my teens, we raised several head of beef cows and planted a small garden. i spent many days picking up rocks for my dads garden. speaking of which..seems like a day spent in the hot sun of the south for a few youngsters would make them think twice about some of the shenanigans they get away with in todays schools.

fred..i imagine that the introduction of white men to the indians would have created a decline in theri and possibly our population due to diseases and lack of immunity. i read about a family discovered in the Siberean Forest. their location and discovery was kept secret in an attempt to allow them privacy. however, after many visits by their new found friends, they succumbed to the viruses unwittenly delivered during those visits. very sad.

gentlemen and any ladies...upon a little further research...namely snopes..it appears that it is true about Aldi's. however, the horsemeat was found initially to be supplied to the stores in the U.K. as well as suspected in several other eurpoean countries. it also appears that none of the meat products supposedly made it to the U.S. stores. i found the following in an article on foodsafety news website. "A third business has met all the statutory and regulatory requirements to require USDA to provide inspection services when it begins processing horsemeat for human consumption. About 175,000 horses from the United States are exported for slaughter each year to Canada and Mexico. New USDA-inspected horse-slaughter facilities in the U.S. would export horsemeat for human consumption to areas of the world where there is a demand, mainly Europe and Asia." i rememer seeing a pro-meat t-shirt that touted the phrase "People for Eating Tasty Animals" (PETA). side note...fo
