And just how is it "Obamas legacy when in fact these wars are the product of the George W Bush administration ! How typical of the lost republinut mind to try and gloss over exactly whose responsibility these wars are !

The loss of irreplaceable monuments and antiquities, from that area of the world, WILL BE tallied up with the unnecessary loss of countless innocent lives thereabouts when calculating the "Barack Obama Legacy".

Coaluser - Yeah, Obama has been a real 'boon' to the part of the Middle East that HE and HIS policies have permitted ISIS to run roughshod over. Besides all of the civilian carnage that has went on under his watch, the historical and archeological destruction of that area has been horrendous, especially with their attempts at Christian eradication.

I'm certain that, before Obama became the "Leader of the Free World" (cough), any attempt at such destruction and devastation at the historical sites that ISIS has destroyed would have been met with an internationally-based counter attack, in order to preserve important world history. They (ISIS) would have backed down or met a fate of being exterminated like a plague. Not so much under the misguided unsteady hands of Obama and crew. (cont)

When TRump gets to be POTUS he will be able to call it OBAMAs war for 8 or 10 years. NO he is gonna end it quickly. Wont take much if the president goes after them like the enemies to the US they are, like he should have instead of allowing them to thrive like Obama has.

OvO...i think a solution has not been found under either administration. both had sucesses and failures. a real look at the state of the world will reveal it is not the rosey planet that it could be and that is fact. Obama does not control all the aspects of the world but he is charged with the handling of America's interests. i do not think we are in as strong a position as i or he had hoped we would be. i admire the President for attempting the "i want to be your buddy" plan, but it just hasn't worked out too well. anyway, another hand at the helm may change all of this in a more positive direction for the nation and the world as a whole. eradication of the impediments to prosperity must be eliminated. some things must meet their decisive end.

So you think people havent had enough od Dubya's wars ?

OvO...actually i think that Trump will actually listen and follow through with recommendations from our military commanders more so than with political pollsters as it appears to be now. while a clean drone war is nice, it is only part of the solution to ending the problem. Obama has maintained a relatively bloodless war monger status among the Democrats.

The reason the world is a big scary place is because ISIS has got more US funding ( HUMVEES, MONEY ETC) from your loser Muslim Brotherhood racist leader Obama than anyone !!

the Iraninas from gaining full nuclear capabilities. even those countries that are nuclear capable and have supportive relationships with Iran have been wise enough to not give nor fully share the technology or outright material and/or completed warhead. this alone should make all of us very wary and understand that time is not on our side in this imminent danger.

U.S. sailors who entered Iranian waters. The sailors were released less than a day later, though state TV aired footage of the sailors on their knees with their hands on their heads.

"If the Americans and their regional allies want to pass through the Strait of Hormuz and threaten us, we will not allow any entry," Salami said, without elaborating on what he and other leaders would consider a threat.

He added: "Americans cannot make safe any part of the world."

Please pay extra close attention to the last sentence and it's implications regarding the stabilizing factor of the United States in maintaining balance between the major world powers. These are also the same ones that we struck a deal with and have only seen an outright disregard by the Iranians. This lastest threat to close the shipping lanes to U.S. flagged vessels is the beginning of the confident reciprical acts of embargo against the United States. it is going to take more than mere words to stop th

YAHOO NEWS:

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — The deputy commander of Iran's powerful Revolutionary Guard said Iranian forces will close the strategic Strait of Hormuz to the United States and its allies if they "threaten" the Islamic Republic, Iranian state media reported on Wednesday.

The comments by Gen. Hossein Salami, carried on state television, follow a long history of both rhetoric and confrontation between Iran and the U.S. over the narrow strait, through which nearly a third of all oil traded by sea passes.

The remarks by the acting commander of the Guard also follow those of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei who on Monday criticized U.S. activities in the Persian Gulf. It's unclear whether that signals any new Iranian concern over the strait or possible confrontation with the U.S. following its nuclear deal with world powers.

In his remarks, Salami said that "Americans should learn from recent historical truths," likely referring to the January capture of 10
