What has been the impact of the march on the nation? Looking back, what criticisms or praise can be gleaned?
A Poignant Anniversary

The Drug Gangs got a bunch of Guns from Eric Holder. I wonder if any of those made it back to Chicago?
It is a good start, masked man.
Sorry 4 getting off topic.
moderation, there is nothing clandestine or unmotivated about their goal. what is left after achieving equality?
those who would cooperate with police and other law enforcement agencies. Back in 1988 I was the first INS special agent to be assigned to the Unified Intelligence Division of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s New York Field Division, where I conducted an analysis of arrest records to determine who was being arrested by the DEA in New York as well as across the United States. I found that 60% of the defendants arrested by the DEA Task Force in New York City were identified as being “foreign-born” while nationally 30% of all such defendants were so described. The August 23rd CBS news report included an interview with Jack Riley, the Special Agent-in-Charge (SAC) of DEA’s Chicago Office: Daily turf battles over drugs and distribution, he said, are turning parts of this Midwest city into a Mexican border town. “One of the hardest jobs I’ve had in the past couple of years is to convince our law enforcement partners that we need an enforcement mentality as if we’re on the border,”
Probably Eric Holder.
A disturbing news report aired on CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley on August 23, 2012 began: (CBS News) CHICAGO – Gun violence is out of control in Chicago. Just last night, there were eight shootings, two of them deadly. That pushes the total so far in 2012 to 351 shooting deaths — up 30 percent from last year. Drug gangs are a big reason. Both President Obama and Director of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano have often claimed that our borders are secure. We have also heard Ms. Napolitano claim that “Spillover Violence” was not a problem. Janet Napolitano herself has stated that more than two hundred American cities have been infested by Mexican drug cartels. Additionally, other transnational gangs from Latin America as well as from Europe, Asia, Africa, the Caribbean and elsewhere have also set up shop in towns and cities in virtually every one of America’s 50 states. Many of these gangs are known for their use of extreme violence to intimidate competitors as well as thos
I wonder where they buy their guns?
Mexican cartels are using Chicago gangs to traffic billions of dollars worth of drugs while concealing themselves in the city's Mexican population, Jason Howerton of The Blaze reports.
Jack Riley, special agent in charge for the Chicago Field Division of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), told The Blaze that drug cartels have designated the city as one of its main U.S. hubs of operations and their increasing presence in the city has contributed to the spiking murder rate, which is up 31 percent from 2011.

From Foxnews - It's probably the most serious threat the United States has faced from organized crime," said Jack Riley, head of the Drug Enforcement Administration's Chicago office. The cartel threat looms so large that one of Mexico's most notorious drug kingpins -- a man who has never set foot in Chicago -- was recently named the city's Public Enemy No. 1, the same notorious label once assigned to Al Capone. The Chicago Crime Commission, a non-government agency that tracks crime trends in the region, said it considers Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman even more menacing than Capone because Guzman leads the deadly Sinaloa cartel, which supplies most of the narcotics sold in Chicago and in many cities across the U.S.
Do you suggest, greek, that there are illegals with guns in Chicago, when you say that city is a hub of numerous Mexican drug cartels ?
And Chicago is the hub of numerous Mexican Cartels.
New York has a population 5 times that of Chicago, yet the murder rate in Chicago is several times worse than New York City. The difference? "Stop and frisk."
You are saying that there is an agenda that is or could be considered clandestine because "equality under the law has been attained, and that being unmotivated is a goal?
considering that equality under the law has been attained, what other than that requires more than an individual responsibility and motivation?
what is the goal,sir?
If that is what you chose to believe, beright. You however maintain a high level of posting, and thus express many opinions within those offerings. You have, also,on several occasions offered validity to my posts. I did question your intended meaning, and sometimes my articulation is lacking and needs tweaked.I do read your stats and appreciate your perspective on many issues. Again, however, we must always remember not to "throw the baby out, with the bath water".
moderation, it is about time to desegregate. there should not be a black community. equality was achieved long ago. i suspect that equality is not the goal. many other races exist within our nation and every race has been enslaved at some point in mans history. some are as we write. it is time for integration to be complete. unfortunately, many in your stated black community have a different idea in what it means to be equal. the dream of MLK will not be achieved here on earth in that all men are imperfect and have an envious heart as well as a deceiving mind. it is my personal belief that the actions of MLK or the need for the civil rights act should have been totally unnecessary. it is time for the race de jour to be removed from the pedestal of pity and join the rest of us. that way we all get screwed equally. don't you think?
I apologize for not living up to your expectations. However, you ask more questions than make statements to respond to. You are a high maintenance poster.
