Obamacare is not "FREE" health care

People have finally realized that the word “free” is nowhere to be found in Obamacare’s “ Affordable Health Care Act”. Coverage under President Barack Obama's health care law won't be cheap. A study released Thursday by the nonprofit Kaiser Family Foundation found that government tax credits would lower the sticker price on a benchmark "silver" policy to a little over $190 a month for single people making about $29,000, regardless of their age. For uninsured people who are paying nothing today, this is still a big cost that they're expected to fit into their budgets.

many of those enrollees have put their money where their mouse is. Combined figures published by Obamacare marketplaces in California, Connecticut, Maryland, Nevada, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington indicate that just 79 per cent of signups in those states have come with checks attached. If those numbers were to hold up nationally, it would mean that about 1.1 million Obamacare enrollees have selected insurance plans without paying for them – bringing the actual total of Obamacare-insured Americans down to 3.3 million.

fred...what facts are you disputing. according to the report for february, from oct 2013 to feb 2014, 25% of the 18-34 demographic have signed up for any plan. that is the target demographic that the administration says was needed to make the law financially viable. an average of 82% that have signed-up have selected plans with financial assistance. 62% have selected the silver plan with 93% financial assistance. that plan has the largest participation percentage as well as the highest financial assistance. the participation rate stayed consistent over the four month total for the target age range. dailymailuk: White House STILL won't say how many Obamacare enrollees have paid for plans, but announces 4.2 million total through February – just 60 per cent of original goal. As of March 1 about 4.2 million Americans had signed up for medical insurance coverage through the Affordable Care Act, according to numbers released Tuesday by the Obama administration. But it remains unclear how

fred...i could not find the january report. i looked on the hhs website but it was nowhere to be found. i had to find something that would verify, with neutrality, my post. since the premiums are collected by the insurance companies, they wouldbe the ones that would have to report the shortages. aetna reported as much as a 30% failure to pay.

fred...aknowledgement does not equal agreement. you are going to make me work for this one..aren't you? legislating personal responsibility is not as easy as it sounds. the A.C.A. had that goal in mind...unless it was another LIE! the delays, the lack of those signing up within the desired demographic as well as the 20% that have not even made premium payment "one" will hamper the intention and success of the law. the numbers are out there for you to review and assess from forbes, yahoo financial, wsj etc....you can take the time..i have fresh coffee to pour! :-)

btw fred...i was impressed by your reciting of the bible verse in a couple of the topics. so are you a god-fearing man or simply an appreciative fan of handy bible verses?

fred, i m more of a numbers person than an emotional person...with the exception of children and the elderly. maybe that is why i extend patience with you more than i normally would. where in my post did i say it should be scrapped? i stated that the exemptions along with the sign-up statistics would not allow the law to realize its stated goal. you may choose to read more into my post...but it is simply not there. all people enjoy instant gratification....i won't even go there on that topic.

BobBarker, your explanation of the reason he received the award kind of degrades its significance.

actually fred, if you can get past your obvious blindness of the facts, you will find that what i posted was gleaned from several non-fox sources and combined into my objectionable post. while reading my posts may be a struggle, i find great glee in having you take the time to read them. i think you will find the facts that i provided to be accurate and since you do seem to read my post with prejudice, you may find that i was dismayed that the actual mandates that would make this law successful were being dismantled by it's namesake. everyday is nice and thank you.

for some... no pain and all gain. the President is slowly but surely removing the teeth(personal responsiblility) from the law by suggestion and then vote. the exemptions i believe will keep the law from its intended purpose in several respects. this law has the unfolding potential to become another unfunded mandate which will need to be funded. it has been shown that the people will not fully fund the law through personal responsibility and therefore the balance will need to be provided....but how? the hardship exemption along with the many others as well as the less than stellar performance so far is further bewildering when one hears the president say that the law is fully funded by its participants that have signed up so far. his statement and the numbers do not balance. is this just another anticipated success like his Nobel Peace prize??? is optimism to be blindly deemed as success? it appears so...by the way in the same interview he conceded that "you may have to change yo

I have already chosen the side of truth and reason. The politicians of the past made the same mistake your ilk has in assuming the American people are stupid and short sighted. This I am sure will be rectified in Nov but for now people are so SICK of talking about politics that they are putting it off. If the repubs don't control everything the end of this year it will be because people gave up and dint vote out of exasperation !!!
