Obamacare is not "FREE" health care

People have finally realized that the word “free” is nowhere to be found in Obamacare’s “ Affordable Health Care Act”. Coverage under President Barack Obama's health care law won't be cheap. A study released Thursday by the nonprofit Kaiser Family Foundation found that government tax credits would lower the sticker price on a benchmark "silver" policy to a little over $190 a month for single people making about $29,000, regardless of their age. For uninsured people who are paying nothing today, this is still a big cost that they're expected to fit into their budgets.

"So simple the republicans cant do it themselves !" comments such as that OWO are what i am referring too. i believe you are capable of more than that. now...the Ithaca post is an example of the lumacy that is occuring. the students have their own insurance outside of the university but are still having to pay for a service that they will not use. it is insane. unfortunately that same logic is found within many of our current social programs. good or bad they are there.

Now back to the point ! Its always about the money , Who is making it and how much ? We all know doctors make a pretty good living and equipment is always being upgraded but where does this end ?The Ceo's and upper officers of health ins. companies make obscene amounts of money , are they worth it?Whats the point of having the latest and greatest hospital if no one can afford to go there ?

over the past years. “The fee was a slap in the face,” Ferrer said of students already reeling from rising tuition costs. Cornell responded to the backlash on Thursday by acknowledging student discontent but stood firm that the fee is necessary to create a sustainable health model and increase access to health care." the piper must be paid. freebies can only last so long.

from the Ithaca Journal. "ITHACA – A planned health fee charged to Cornell University students caused an uproar among the student community even as the university argues that the fee is needed to pay off debts and forestall cuts in services. More than 100 Cornell students organized outside President David Skorton’s office in Day Hall on Monday in response to the $350 fee to be charged in the fall to students not enrolled in the Cornell Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP). Students camped outside administrative offices and started a social media firestorm under the Twitter hashtag #FightTheFee during the daylong protest Michael Ferrer, a Cornell junior and one of the protest leaders, said the students reacted to what he termed the administration’s lack of transparency. Ferrer said students weren’t properly involved prior to the decision, and that in their announcement Cornell tried to hide the fact that $75 of the fee would be used to pay off debts incurred by the heath service o

The point is this . Health care costs are and have been trending upwards 15%-20% every year . People just cant sustain that cost, and something had to be done or the only ones who could afford it would be the wealthy ! That problem is still there !

administrative costs. … In fact, nine of the co-ops (including CoOportunity Health) reported a MLR [i.e., medical loss ratio; the claims compared to premiums] of 100% or more through September 2014.” The backstory is that leftists think health insurance and health care—and pretty much anything else, for that matter—would be available and affordable if only we took the profits out and let altruistic bureaucrats run the system.

It's simple math folks!!!!!!!

Forbes: When Democrats were ramming Obamacare down Americans’ throats, many of them wanted a “public option” that was supposed to demonstrate just how efficient and affordable government-run health insurance could be. What they settled for was something called “co-ops”—which stands for Consumer Oriented and Operated Plans. As the Washington Post explains, “The co-ops differ from traditional insurers in their nonprofit status, consumer focus and organizational structure; they will be governed by boards controlled by policyholders.” In other words, the co-ops would get rid of those greedy, self-interested actuaries and insurers who were profiteering on the backs of the sick. Not full-blown socialized medicine, but a good start. S&P writes: “All but one of the [23] co-ops included in our study reported negative net income through the first three quarters of 2014. … Most co-ops’ weak operating performance is a result of high medical claims trend and not enough scale to offset administ

Some 200,000 Obamacare enrollees are about to be kicked off their insurance policies after they failed to confirm that they are legally living in the United States administration officials announced Thursday. Under the health law, people enrolled in exchange policies must be able to prove legal status.

Last summer, the administration announced that there were significant discrepancies in hundreds of thousands of Obamacare applications—specifically dealing with citizenship. Health officials sent out letters in August to about 300,000 enrollees with application discrepancies asking them to send in relevant documents to confirm their legal status and resolve the issue.
