Obamacare is not "FREE" health care

People have finally realized that the word “free” is nowhere to be found in Obamacare’s “ Affordable Health Care Act”. Coverage under President Barack Obama's health care law won't be cheap. A study released Thursday by the nonprofit Kaiser Family Foundation found that government tax credits would lower the sticker price on a benchmark "silver" policy to a little over $190 a month for single people making about $29,000, regardless of their age. For uninsured people who are paying nothing today, this is still a big cost that they're expected to fit into their budgets.

exactly what you have said should not be done. he practically begged to go back to square-one. initially he expected the insurance companies to accomplish in 31 days what our supposedly tech-savvy and hip young government workers could not do in over 3 years...and that is to even put together a fully funtioning web site. this should have its own entry in the dictionary under the word boondoggle and it's many synonyms. time for more coffee.....hey wheres my sweet roll????

asknot, they yapping has continued for many other government deemed problems and programs. just look at the list of carrer politcal-fixers that keep cozying themselves up to the government trough at the taxpayer expense. in our mis-guided and infantile way we have been allowing them to screw up for so long that it has become the norm. our elected officials have insulated themselves so well within the bubble, that is the "Government", that they are never held to task. take this administration, you blatantly lie... no worries we'll transfer you with a raise in pay. tell lies and take one for the team, no problem time to start your campaign for the presidency, be the Mac-Daddy of lies and finish your lame duck session only to collect your bennies for the rest of your natural life while leaving your blunders to the suffering of the American people. btw, in case you have not noticed...other than continuing to fix the massive screw-up which is "heathcare.gov", they did

asknot, in my area a local group of doctors have been slowly but surely buying up the local hospitals and they currently operate under one umbrella. many regional hospitals are finding it hard to stay afloat for various reasons. one thing that many do not focus on is the high cost of higher education. the anwer is not another d*** government subsidy. the costs associated with becoming primary care physicians as well as the multitude specialists are astronomical. not to mention the costs that medical caregivers pay to join partnerships. that is another story unto itself. the insurance companies are the demons dejour, but soon enough under the ACA, you can bet your bottom dollar they will be just like Social Security...broke and bleeding money. the politicians are good at many things but unfortunately managing our country much less our healthcare system is not one of them. god help us.

asknot...thank you..i really enjoyed the video as well as the gentleman that presented it. the video is not for the slow mind. he flies through the information fairly quickly. he brings up some great points along with interesting statistics. as he said the "problem" is complex and there is no short answer. in the end the goal is to make it free for some, affodable for others and finally a drain on our government. i won;t even call the government taxpayers...we are more akin to borrowers than payers for the most part. the ACA does not address many of the problems that we face and should not even be considered a basis on which to build. the democrats think it is better than sliced bread and they are in charge so give me a slice and butter me up. at least i can eat.

asknot...i will say this about medications...if we provide public monies for the R&D that results in an effective medication, we should get pricing that reflects our contribution. the Wal-Mart model is low prices guaranteed. just as we have folks not taking jobs due to low wages, what shall we expect from our doctors due to the inability to set their prices? btw, i have found that many doctors will work with a patient regarding many costs. the hospitals seem to be the fly in the ointment. but they have their own set of issues to deal with. dang it i am missing my show!

asknot, before i go to check out a show i enjoy, i wanted to say thanks for posting the information. it was helpful and interesting. in the end...it still sounds like we are trying to get something on the cheap and we slam so many others for doing the same thing. have a great evening.

asknot, when we create our Wal-Mart healthcare system, will people start clamoring for its demise as they do now?

treated. they seem to be either in denial or had rather gamble until it becomes catastrophic..then bam....they skeedaddle themselves to the emergency room and away we go. the ACA is rotten and will become another ineffective government-run money pit. i wonder how any medical malfeasance on the part of overseas treatment will be handled?

asknot, i read the article with interest. it did open up with the line many more are going overseas or contemplating. there is a distinct different between thinkin' and doin'. anyway, i see your point. so when will the taxpayers be ponying up the airfare to cart all of the poor overseas...is that the next great saving grace for our healthcare system? could be by the articles appeal. in my post i merely intended to point out various reasons why many do not utilize the well educated and staffed facilities here in the good ol' United States. i did not even get into the reasons for that high costs associated with out fine doctors and hospitals as well as to the insurance companies. while many scream about how much is paid to whom or how much is spent in advertising, there is very little mention of the costs of litigation, settlements, and malpractice insurance that is being gobbled up by healthcare dollars. i talk to so many people that have obvious health issues and yet never get them tr

asknot, it was fine and dandy for those that chose to afford health insurance rather than squander their money on sundry items that pass with each fad. i and many others did not have problem with our insurance as well as our doctors. i would suggest that in the majority of cases, it is not the healthcare system that is broken but it is the american people that are broken. drug addicts, the homeless, those that suffer from latrophobia, smokers, the morbidly obese, abusers and the abused are many groups of people that do not always fully utilize the healthcare system. i would say that if our healthcare system was so broken, which it was not, why in the world would are we not be flocking to others countries for our medical needs???? could we simply be suffering from lethargy? yes ....i think we are.

It is hysterical that the Whitehouse has threatened to veto a House Bill that simply keeps the President’s promise of “if you like you policy you can keep it. Period”

Do You Know the Minimum Benefits and features in Obamacare? .

There is a long lost of benefits called the " Essential Minimum Benefits". These benefits are standard in ALL plans on the exchange. You also CANNOT be denied coverage regardless if you have a shoebox full of pills.

The plans will Vary from state to state but in general you cannot get a better deal by going direct to healthcare.gov. all plans are price fixed. With using a brokerage you will have some customer service available if you need anything in the future.

I especially like his commentary of, "..people suddenly find themselves worse off because of health care reform."

GOSH MR. PRESIDENT! You mean like the millions that are going to be paying far more "because of (YOUR) health care reform?
