Obamacare is not "FREE" health care

People have finally realized that the word “free” is nowhere to be found in Obamacare’s “ Affordable Health Care Act”. Coverage under President Barack Obama's health care law won't be cheap. A study released Thursday by the nonprofit Kaiser Family Foundation found that government tax credits would lower the sticker price on a benchmark "silver" policy to a little over $190 a month for single people making about $29,000, regardless of their age. For uninsured people who are paying nothing today, this is still a big cost that they're expected to fit into their budgets.

When Cruz filibustered the opening day of the ACA you didnt hear him on CNN saying the dems made him do it or Clinton started it or whatever. He just sorta put his talk between his legs and slithered off.

AND I get severly tired of the democratic maracle cures that they put in place and blame others when it fails miserably. At least the republicans have the decency to just keep their stupid mouths shut when they goof up. Not them democrats, they are flapping their gums that the communist tea party caused it or Rush or Beck or Bush or Cheney was at fault ... God it is rediculous. They need to grow up, put their big boy or girl pants on and take responsibility !!!

everything and you seem to blame the repubs which I disagree with. They should all selfishly work together for the common good of all of the US citizens. Obama started all of this divisiveness by rewarding the groups that helped get him elected and punishes the ones that challenged him.

I am not sticking my chest out. My point is that there were many alternate proposals that were introduced when the ACA was being debated in congress and Pelosi and Reid rammed this one thru. Dr. Ben Carson came up with a Health Savings Account. The repubs came up with a tax credit to be applied towards everyones health care. The AMA had a proposal. Do you not find it troubling that not a single republican voted for this ACA bill??? Even if you are for of against the bill or repub or dem, I would think a taxpayer should be worried about this. The fact that one party cares so little about the people that elected them all that they would do something like that and then ask for bi partisan ship on other issues and then degrade them when they rebel. That is what I see the dems doing. I am not a diehard republican but the actions of the dems have me worried because they seem to have no regard for the law of the land or the constitution !!And from your posts, you seem to stand up for them on

I say - WE TRIED BUT PELOSI AND REID PASSED THE BILL WITHOUT CONSIDERING ANY OTHER PLANS.. CAN YOU NOT GET THIS THRU YOUR HEAD. THAT PART IS OVER THANKS TO THE DEMOCRATS THAT VOTED THE ACA IN. IT IS YOUR BABY NOW SO QUIT ASKING FOR ALTERNATIVES...OK?? Do YOU get that part ?????You can quit asking for anyone to help.. Their suggestions WILL NOT be considered at this point !!! It is a matter of your hero Barry sealing his place in history..Good grief.. Are all of you that voted for him that callous???

Asknot says - Something has to be done about health care, ACA, as per most government programs is a boondoggle so far. It needs tweaked and changed sooner than later. But its a step in the right direction. But we do need to fix it ASAP. So instead of just whining, why don't you be productive and urge our politicians to come up with answers instead of just pointing fingers? We can't continue the "old system" its unfair, and will bankrupt us.

OK Obama Champion Asknot..Answer this.. How much money has been spent on implementing ObamaCare to give coverage to only 15 percent of the population??? The bid for setting up the website was awarded to Michelles BFF without being opened to any other companies. Some say it is repayment for services rendered to help reelection campaign... How do you explain these things other than blame it on Rush and Beck??? Do you feel this is fiscally responsible since you call the old method not viable??? I know that your answer will probably include a tongue lashing for the republicans. You do claim to have an open mind so lets hear it..

I am impressed the Oniel has a firm grasp of the ACA even though those in the media don't get it. Is is also amazing that Harry Reid refuses to put his staff into the exchanges at the same time he promotes the exchnages. More waivers are granted daily for friends of Obmama but he tells us that the exchanges are the best thing since sliced watermellon.

and six people have already signed up.

Dr. Ben Carson: ObamaCare is about controlling our lives

1. Premiums will go up for many people. WHY? First, Obamacare requires all health insurance plans to meet certain standards. They call these standards “Essential Benefits.” While some view this as protecting consumers, the protection comes at a price. Second, the policies don’t have any spending caps. While there may be good policy reasons for this rule, it comes at a significant cost Third, health insurance companies can’t charge more if you have a pre-existing condition. While such a rule helps those who previously were uninsurable, it also comes with a cost

2. Many people will lose their current insurance

3. You don't have to buy through the exchanges

4. Obamacare is immensely complicated. Most who voted for it never read it.

5. The exchanges offer limited choice of doctors. Many people will lose contact with their family physicians.

What is interestging about the last post is that you have to fill out an application before you can look at health policy pricing.

So someone just looking for information is now included in this "great rush" to sign up.

I think we are bending the facts just a little to put lipstick on a pig.

A federal health care official told Congress on Tuesday that 700,000 people had submitted applications through the federal and state health insurance marketplaces. But Sebelius said Wednesday that the administration has no “reliable data” for how many have successfully enrolled.

President Obama repeatedly assured Americans that after the Affordable Care Act became law, people who liked their health insurance would be able to keep it. But millions of Americans are getting or are about to get cancellation letters for their health insurance under Obamacare, say experts, and the Obama administration has known that for at least three years.

Four sources deeply involved in the Affordable Care Act tell NBC News that 50 to 75 percent of the 14 million consumers who buy their insurance individually can expect to receive a “cancellation” letter.

This is a cut and paste comment from a health care shopper: can get a bronze policy (the cheapest one) for about 250 bucks a month. Okay, so I'm in the hole 3000 bucks a year. But that means I'm insured, right? Welllll, I have to meet a $6300.00 deductible before I'm even eligible for any payment from that plan. Okay, so I'm now $9300,00 in the hole. Now I'm all set, though I just paid 28% of my net income. Let's say I need surgery now, and that surgery costs $10,000 (not unusual). At least it's paid for, right! Well yeah, but only at 60% which means I'm another $4000,00 in the hole. I've now paid 36% of my total net income for the year SOLELY on healthcare."

Out of pocket costs for a family of four will be 12,700 dollars per year plus the monthly premiums of 300 dollars. Wow how can a family making 30,000 year pass up that good deal? This fiasco will fall apart and die the miserable death it deserves. Just another Liberal knee jerk law with
