Obamacare is not "FREE" health care

People have finally realized that the word “free” is nowhere to be found in Obamacare’s “ Affordable Health Care Act”. Coverage under President Barack Obama's health care law won't be cheap. A study released Thursday by the nonprofit Kaiser Family Foundation found that government tax credits would lower the sticker price on a benchmark "silver" policy to a little over $190 a month for single people making about $29,000, regardless of their age. For uninsured people who are paying nothing today, this is still a big cost that they're expected to fit into their budgets.

Who are these 7 million happy citizens mod? Have they paid for a plan? Are they subsidized or given waivers. Have they had to pay 6 grand out of pocket yet? Or are they thinking they got FREE stuff, if so they are in for a rude awakening. Can I keep my doctor? Is my premium 2500 less? Or were these LIES?

what doncha like about people with pre- existing conditions obtaining once prohibited coverage? what doncha like about no lifetime limits on coverage? .....If that what floats libs boat, why not right a law that is 3 sentences long instead of 2 thousand pages?

7 million sign up but 40 million still uninsured and your celebrating?

My deductables have gone up as well as my premiums. This is to cover all that new "free" stuff.

beright-unions are affected by collective bargaining agreements, that have a legal 'lifetime'.

BeRight

There is no longer any congressional oversight on the plan.

The people who voted for it are running away from it and many groups are asking for excemptions.

If it is that would why do unions want out?

My insurance rate has increased as well as my deductibles.

What I do not like is that Obama lied about "you can keep your plan" and "you can keep your doctor".

What else I do not like is that every legislator who voted for this plan did not read it before they voted for it. The plan keeps being changed without the benefit of congressional oversight. The plan is being run by thirty somethings in the whitehouse without consulting the legislature.

thats the short list.

Tired- if you are involved in a car wreck and don't have ins. coverage, you will be fined, and maybe sued as well, plus that loss will be passed on to other insureds.this is practice is intended to protect the larger 'group'.

Tired- you know the process. the aca was enacted, with the blessing of the scotus to boot.

Mod, you can say the process is working but all we are doing is heading down a socialist path. To require a citizen to purchase a service or face a fine is NOT the America I want to live in.

beright- what doncha like about people with pre- existing conditions obtaining once prohibited coverage? what doncha like about no lifetime limits on coverage? WellPoint raised its rates 39% in one year, not many years ago. There will always be dissension from any legislation by different individuals and groups. The 'right' spawned this baby, and then turned their backs. The heritage foundation actually promoted most aspects of the aca, before they were against it. Does romneycare,in the state of Massachusetts, stir a memory? Why was that presidential candidate against his own legislation? This is a process and it is progressing as it should.

Mod, the 80% number is estimated. Since the ACA website has no backend, no one knows anything for sure. But if your numbers are correct that would leave 40,000,000+ still uninsured. Also, premiums are projected to go up for all insured folks including those who have insurance from the ACA and those who have insurance from other sources.

On last thing, the numbers of enrollees does not answer the question as to why so many groups are trying to get exemptions from this law including many unions.

The goal of 7 million, if it were really met, still leaves a lot of unintended road kill it it’s path.

Go ahead and sleep tight tonight since according to you all is well.
