Legalize Marijuana in Ohio?

In light of some recent and not so recent events, do you believe that marijuana SHOULD become a legal substance in the state of Ohio? I'm posting this under "National Politics" because I believe your answer transcends Ohio's borders.

browneyebrutus said - "about 4 hours and good to go,you learn to do that when your a first responder"

HA!

That will explain some of the victims that should have made it to the hospital, but didn't.

How are about responding to accidents involving minority members? Do you, then, REALLY give it your all?

where they put the Pot in Pot-Luck Dinner. cnn: "Police in Northern California have arrested an elementary school teacher after she allegedly brought marijuana-laced food to an after-hours employee pot-luck dinner." when the dective was asked about solving the crime...he simply stated it was "elementary"!

Stick I used to have a CDL although I was not a truck driver. I understand the ridiculous terms of a CDL that are unfair as hell.

stickhauler, if people are still being punished it is not decriminalized.

Tiredofit, pot has been decriminalized in Ohio. In 1974! Possession of up to 100 grams (nearly 1/4th pound) is a misdemeanor, with punishment of a fine. Not too steep of a fine either, truckers pay more for speeding tickets in Ohio than stoners pay for simple possession.

R1KRA8 - Yes, Proverbs 31:6-7. I'll drink to that.

My point I clear, or at least I think It is. Pot should be at least decriminalized

not sure where you are going here, yes I agree that pot has funded a lot of other activities amongst the hoodlum bunch.

So, what drive brought alcohol back to the streets of America, from Prohibition?

People were getting a buzz on anyway, even though alcohol was illegal and it's illegality was creating lots of organized crime syndicates.

Do those conditions remind you of a substance we are discussing here?

It can help people that NEED IT and big pharma does not want the competition. GOD FORBID you could grow something to help yourself without paying their price for relief. As I said, I would not smoke it if it were FREE, cannot abide smoke. I have seen the suffering that could be helped and Ill be*******if a person should be denied because it is dangerous.*****they are dying, whats the harm

I understand your point Kunnect, I am just saying that the dopers are not the best spokespersons for legalization. They have motives that are not in line with why I would like to see it legalized.

Tiredofit - I'm not being argumentative with you, but when you say, "I get very angry with stoners that want it legalized to get high when it could be of great use to sick and dying people.", YOU DO realize that "stoners" are already actively using it to get high in numbers of millions in this country?

So, keeping it illegal accomplishes...???

Eeeew, a "domestic call", those are the worst. You might be "QUICKLY eradicated by others and be destroyed."

But my bet is you're sitting in front of your tube, flubbing your dub.

Tiredofit

Agreed ASK. Anyone that has witnessed the suffering of cancer patients can understand why any remedy is worth a try.
