When have we culturally "arrived"?

In any movement, there is always a moment when one should be able to say that we as a culture have arrived at the end and equality is achieved. This goes for everything from women's rights, minority rights and also rights of the LGBT community. When does such a movement for equality say mission accomplished?

I dont like Christie either. Romney is too nice a guy to consider running and he prefers hanging out with family. It was the countries loss that he lost to a bunch of lies and mudslinging. I dont have a problem with strong women at all. I have a problem with a b itch that says it doesnt matter when embassies are toppled and then covers it up with a lie. She and Bill have a long history of that. Just watch :The Clinton Chronicles".

Bigfoot your analogy lacks a bit. You compare voting with building, well, ok but you have to build something to live in, will it be a shack or a mansion, up to you but you HAVE To build, by doing nothing you still build tacitly.

Moderation to throw off political servitude you just have to step outside political parties.

On any given issue act on the facts alone..and support what is right on those issues.

Look at things in a benefit/loss manner.

Thats a simple way of putting it.

For many a decision on an issue isn't based on the facts of the issue but on which way their chosen party is leaning on the issue.

And vested interests of a way of swaying which way a party leans if you know what I mean.

Someone free of political servitude would be outside the influence of such things.

I could vote but there's few who have what I want in a candidate.

You know voting and building something have a lot in common. You either build something out of the proper materials using the proper methods or you may end up with junk.

Building/voting just with the things you do have not what you want...is ok but don't expect what you built to last or be reliable.

Simple as that.

I want to see progress. Progress won't happen with the current "tools" and "materials" we are using.

If you want to half-a55 the job continue to vote for do nothing lackies.

Accepting what is laid out in front of you is a bid part of the problem.

Accept mediocrity and guess what? Thats what you get!

Rand Paul was voted favorably for 2016 at the CPAC. Was mostly 18-25 year olds there voting. Christy was only at 8% while Rand was on top at 31%.

Dr Carson is entitled to his opinion. This IS the USA where we are supposed to value our differences. Voting. Yes be sure to vote so we don't end up with Hillary and another 8 years of this nonsense. Even your dead relatives can vote if the democrats get their way !! LOL.

Now a question Bigfoot,.. "How do the people throw off their political servitude"?

Bigfoot- "One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors". - Plato.

It may sound odd but what am I to do when everyone around me is going one way..the way I don't feel is right?

A person like me has two choices. Go with the flow. Not my style. Or step out of the bumrush and tend to my own concerns while everyone else makes a mess of things. Which is what I am doing by refusing to take part in the clown show that people call voting.

Bigfoot: Having "never voted one single time", is an odd way to affect the changes you seem to feel this country needs.

Posted 139 days ago.

Bigfoot

Also I've never voted one single time because I fully realize that its all a big game of being placated and then throwing your support behind those that told you what you wanted to hear.

Its only a matter of time before this country crumbles under the weight of its stupidity.

There's a lot of good in this nation but its almost outweighed by the bad.

Thats why we see less and less progress being made.

I dont see things getting better until the people throw off their political servitude and let rational thought be the cornerstone of their decision making process rather than political necessity.
