Why are Ohio Citizens tolerating a violation of the Ohio Constitution? The ACA Obamacare is that violation.

This is Ohio Law. Why is it not enforced? "1.21 - Preservation of the freedom to choose health care and health care coverage ***********legislature.state.oh.us/constitution.cfm?Part=1&Section=21 (A) No federal, state, or local law or rule shall compel, directly or indirectly, any person, employer, or health care provider to participate in a health care system. (B) No federal, state, or local law or rule shall prohibit the purchase or sale of health care or health insurance. (2) "Health care system" means any public or private entity or program whose function or purpose includes the management of, processing of, enrollment of individuals for, or payment for, in full ..."

You may be just a little premature with your patriotic rant ! Seems that there has been considerable censuring of that freedom here !

God bless the Koch brothers," said Vitter, according to YouTube video posted by trackers American Bridge. “They’re fighting for our freedom.”

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Red beans and rice is great too, you can just leave out the sausage. Sorry about the late entry read the previous posts and they put me in recipe mode.

Thanks, Asknot. I agree with your position on freedom of education choices as well.

good morning to you asknot. i trust you are well. it sounds as if you have quite the arsenal...both in weapons and dried foods. they are both very handy to have in trying times. one thing you may wish to get is some DPD and a chlorine residual reader in which to use to check the residual should you use chlorine to disinfect your drinking water. speaking of beans, especially pinto, great northern and most lima's many add a small amount of pork fat whether through fatback or it's drippings along with salt to flavor. in addition, i perfer to serve the beans after they have sat in the frig overnight. the flavor seems to be more concentrated and intense. it's always great with cornbread and greens.

whatdifferencedoesitmake, i am in full agreement with you on the nutritional value of staples such as beans and rice. they are a must have as insurance for tough times. we keep a decent stock of rice and dried beans. we live near a large running water source and have the means in which to disinfect.

moderation, good morning. we are in agreement on the "hot" level of our mexican cuisine. mild to medium suits me just fine. i'll leave the hot and blinding-hot to the drunks and thrill-seekers of the gastronomical world.

good morning lts-I do enjoy 'from scratch' cooking, and authentic Spanish/Latino preparations are appreciated as well as any.I do prefer dishes that aren't extremely hot in the spice composition.

Inane by your assessment, my statement simply conveyed an attitude expressed by a former contributor to these threads. I didn't make a judgement, I pointed out an attitude, and you, now, have represented that style and demeanor.I actually enjoy "beans and rice" in many combinations and variations. Welcome back, stiff.

Uncle Ben's long grain brown rice, plus a bag of lima beans. Soak them in a crock pot and season with a slice of bacon and some cayenne pepper. Good for my body! Easy on my wallet. Conservatives teach people how to cook, live long and prosper.

One serving ½ cup of brown rice and black beans - 42 grams of energy-providing, complex carbohydrates. Protein, amino acids, fiber, folate, iron, magnesium, potassium , zinc. Add a slice of tomato for Vitamin C, and some carrots for Vitamin A. An egg for more protein, or a few ounces of chicken meat.

Contrast this food choice with expensive beef steaks, fatty chips, sugary pop, candy, high sodium processed snack foods.... obesity is a rampant problem among the needy who get on the dole. No restrictions on what they can buy with our tax dollars, so why would they bother to get the healthy, lower cost choices? Too many do not. Beans and rice are not cruel and unusual and disrespectful of the poor. Quite the contrary! Next inane comment? That one was too easy to swat like the gnatty nonsense it was.

moderation, good late afternoon to you. funny you mention beans and rice. that is what is on the menu this evening along with some other mexican oriented fare. we have a wonderful mexican restaurant that is a wonderful value with great food and great service. the owners do quite a bit in support of the community, especially the childrens sports leagues. although they do receive so great advertising.

fred, good afternoon. the film "12 Years a Slave" looks to be a very good movie. i watched the trailer for it and am eagerly awaiting the opportunity to share it with my wife on movie night. the scenery and acting seems to be top-notch. not to mention the story as well. while i sometime bristle when you constantly throw slavery in my face due to my place of birth and residence, i overlook such things as simply your scape-goating onto me something in which you can't fight in reality and just an action in which to appease your sensibility....at least on this continent. i choose to bear it not because of my guilt but only to assist you in your release of feelings as a fellow human being and corresponding friend. so rant on my friend while you can.

When you referred to Romney, whatdif, did you suggest that the model for the aca was promoted and legislatively passed by a "romney" other than the former governor of Massachusetts, who also was the republican candidate for potus in 2012?
