Why are Ohio Citizens tolerating a violation of the Ohio Constitution? The ACA Obamacare is that violation.

This is Ohio Law. Why is it not enforced? "1.21 - Preservation of the freedom to choose health care and health care coverage ***********legislature.state.oh.us/constitution.cfm?Part=1&Section=21 (A) No federal, state, or local law or rule shall compel, directly or indirectly, any person, employer, or health care provider to participate in a health care system. (B) No federal, state, or local law or rule shall prohibit the purchase or sale of health care or health insurance. (2) "Health care system" means any public or private entity or program whose function or purpose includes the management of, processing of, enrollment of individuals for, or payment for, in full ..."

Nice job of dodging the question and changing the subject, boys. Sorry state that you can not admit or dispute that Conservatives (from Romney to Bush to the Christian church-going, Bible thumping, unborn child protecting, Military volunteering, productive, tax paying, working and profitable business operating Capitalists) actually contribute more out of their own earnings to help their fellow man than you liberals and your self-righteous "leaders" give. Sorry State! The 51st State is yours. Unless you count like O. That would be the 58th State.

fred...you stated " who believes that (without religion?) most people are selfish-children who need "discipline" and constant nagging!" that was the gist of the conversation i was having with asknot in regards to the "requirement" of responsibility in providing one's own health insurance by imposing penalties for non-compliance. the nagging part will come with the enforcement of the law...gentle reminders if you will. the niceties in my posts are here to stay and i do post as much of what i feel decorum will allow. i just don't have your flair for creative degradation. i will wait until the film is released through redbox. i despise theatres.

Give us statistics for Georgia or any other Republican State to show the poor people there with no actual HEALTH CARE. You can not. They do not exist. Health care INSURANCE is not "health care". Clinics and doctors and free medication charities and hospital charity funds are still open and operating. You make it sound to the uninformed like Georgia residents are dying in gutters for lack of a Government benefit card. That is false and you know it. Ever hear of a charity fund? Ever hear of Shriner's Hospital? Ever hear of St. Jude Children's? Ever hear of Riverside Methodist Hospital? Ever hear of Catholic Charities? Your sacred cow of ObamaACA"care" never started giving milk to make up for all the "hay" it consumes. ACA is D.O.A., and conservatives are going to bury the stinking corpse after the November election. Bad law deserves a proper burial.

Stop the lie about Conservatives and Republicans in general. Data - hard data - proves over and over that Conservatives actually give up more of their earned money every year to charities, including health care for the needy here, than "liberal" Democrats. Stop the lie. Make a donation, and see what it feels like to actually help a neighbor with your own free will, not have your account ripped by a Socialist/Marxist/Communist hiding behind "the law of the land".

fine fred...no playing the "what if" game with you. i suppose if being a realist and understanding that circumstances force many to act in ways they otherwise wouldn't when push comes to shove then yes i would say i am a pessimistically optimistic cynic. the law in question and my discussion with asknot reveals that the law intends to do exactly the dastardly deed that you accuse me of...although in reality i am not. (my) religion does not keep one(me) from doing unlawful or socially unacceptable things. in addition you may not have noticed but many businesses are controlled by democratic owners and board members and i feel certain if you asked their employees they might just think they deserve more. what do you think..oh wait, i don't have to ask for you to tell me and i forgot that we don't play the "what if" game. btw good morning from "Sunny". smile.

85% of Americans were pleased with their insurance plan, doctor access, testing, hospital access, and life saving medications BEFORE the unAffordable "Care" Act - obamascare. That is no longer the case. Many are kicked out of their plans. Many have HIGHER Premiums and deductibles. Many lost access to successful doctors and meds. This is unconscionable. This is very poor planning and unacceptable unintended consequences of big GOVERNMENT meddling. It is a power grab gone bad.

asknot, human nature will kill all the try anyone attempts. i am just responding to fred and his statements. some of the things within the law i agree with, but you can't say that it is a success just because of a few goodies the you like...you as in general...not specific. so in your mind, without hurting others financially anymore than they have been...what is your perfect solution. while you are wishing...i want a stock non-red ferrari. vroom-vroom

fred, a few years back i was speaking with a gentleman about what would happen if everyone just said "F" it and just quit working. permanant vacation if you will. sign-up for every support program available. what would happen? how would the government react? would we then be given work assignments based on our skills so that everyone could still receive their goods and services? have you ever pondered such a notion and if so..what was your reasoned answer?

you are correct in that those that earn no taxable income will not see their income taxes increase. so when we we get to the point where nobody receives any taxable income, you can be 100% correct.

fred, the law was passed as a tax. the tax credits that many receive will need to be offset by borrowing or taxation..whether now or later. the maximum contribution that many put into thier medical flex spending account was cut by almost 50% which will now be considered taxable income from their paycheck. shall i continue?

you can lead an american to heath insurance..but that don't mean they will buy it. yahoo article dated today. " One in three Americans who lack health coverage plan to remain uninsured, citing cost as their chief obstacle, according to Bankrate's latest Health Insurance Pulse survey.Fewer than a third (30 percent) of the uninsured realize that federal tax credits available through the new Obamacare health exchanges can make health insurance affordable to lower-income individuals and families. In a telephone survey of uninsured adults drawn from a nationally representative sample of more than 3,000 Americans, one-third (34 percent) said they intend to continue without health coverage. When asked why, 41 percent said health insurance is too expensive, 17 percent cited opposition to the Affordable Care Act, and 13 percent said they're healthy and don't need coverage. Just over half (56 percent) of the uninsured said they plan to obtain health coverage." Tony Montana, SCARFACE..

fred, thanks for the happy st. patrick's day to you as well. yes we celebrate and no one around here would be caught without having a bit o' the green somewhere adorning them. i am more of a Johnnie Walker Black man and it is a bit early under normal circumstances. however, a****prior to an early round o' golf has occurred on many an occasion. there are some here that exhibit the fact that they have never heard of Jenny Craig. use of the Interstate Commerce Clause was a rather under-handed and sleazy way in which to ram it into law...but they did it.
