Munster, you are wrong about the parts too , while a person is allowed to own target trigger parts any parts that are for full auto are stricly forbidden.

Munster,apparently you dont know the differnce because in order for it to be an assault rifle it must have3 features. 1st it must have a detachable magazine, 2nd it must be mid calibre, and 3rd it must be fully auto or have a capability for burst fire.

I am against banning guns of any kind. I did see an interesting list of things referred to in the article I read as “common ground” steps on guns: Detailed Universal Background checks including creating and using a mental health database. Make Straw purchases a federal crime. Crack down on Rogue guns dealers. Encourage current gun owners to take personal responsibility for their guns. The Newtown shooter’s mother did not do this and it cost her own life and those of many others.

Free, you are an idiot! "Internet instructions" to turn a civilian AR/M-4 rifle into full auto? Really? Do those "instructions" include manufacturing the parts required to achieve that? Because the parts on a civilian model and the military version are quite different.

Actually, owning the PARTS necessary to turn a firearm into a full auto firearm are what's illegal if you don't have the required tax stamp for them. They're not made with a serial number on them like the receiver is, but owning the parts OUT of the receiver is just as serious a crime as owning an unregistered full auto firearm.

Even removing them and throwing them away out of an M-2 Carbine won't make that receiver legal if it's not a registered machine gun. And you do hear of them coming up from time to time. If a veteran of Korea decided to bring home his Carbine, and feared registering it back in 1986, thinking he'd get busted for theft from the military, and hid it away at home and passed away

What your not understanding is any assault rifle doesnt have to be full auto to be an assault rifle ! thats like saying a chevy isnt a chevy because its got a standard transmissiom !

The PTR-93 is not full auto and therfore is not an assault rifle. I'm fully aware of the required license to own an actual assault rifle.

And in case you missed it , you cant sell full auto anything except with a special licence !

There are'nt any assault rifles for sale now , what you and others are tring to do is lable semi-auto rifles as assault rifles when they are not.

Easy , If there arent any for sale then these folks wont get one !
