Munster, I am not now nor have I ever been a Romney suporter, I was actualy refering to the collection of idiots we have been electing for the last 20 years or so. Every few years we re-elect most of the same clowns that caused most of these problems and things just continue to get worse. Now we are sopposed to watch while these same people who cant come up with a budget in three years are going to spend millions to decide if our 2nd amendment rights will stand. I hope the Supreme Court saves us because I dont think Congress will.

As we spend the coming months and possably years, along with millions of tax payer dollars, draging the Constitution through the cesspool the Washington has become, please remember this,"Elections have Consequences".

Its interesting to go back and look at the previous posts on this fourm and see how little has changed in the last 700 plus days since it was started. While the situation regarding gun rights has changed some, the arguments are nearly the same.

Well free, some dasterdly devil must have deleted your post claiming you had a "typo!" If you did, I can't find it anyway. I might have offered an apology for calling you out, had you replied with even a touch of class. As if that's possible!

And, the Brady Campaign wasn't started by James Brady, or even his wife Sarah. A group called "Handgun Incorporated" ended up morphing into the Brady Campaign in the wake of Reagan & Brady being shot by Hinkley.

And, ironically, in all those years, they've claimed they never wanted to ban guns. Yet, everytime they get a chance, they try to ban guns! A really "trusted" group to belong to, as they sold their member e-mail list a few years back to marketers to raise money.

I saw calls for protests at last week's American Gun Show down in Virginia by another anti-gun group. That group failed to show, "Code Pink" showed up instead. It must have been the late call for protestors that hurt their numbers,

That realization kind of negates the old standby argument that, to paraphrase: The second amendment's intent is to insure a well armed citizenry is able to repel a tyrannical overthrow of our constitution by the force of our own standing army being turned against it's own citizenry.

The "well armed citizen defending the Constitution from tyranny" theory, is a poor foundation upon which to base any pro-gun argument in this day and age.
