Are the Second Amendment "rights" of Americans really being "threatened" - or is this complaint just another gimmick to get the right-wing, reactionary base "fired up" for 2012?

Well Bob, if you're not going to do it, I guess I'll have to ... Some of today's "pretend patriots" might want to look at what is happening in Egypt ... A real "revolution" isn't pretty ... Some Americans, however, are claiming that President Obama and his administration are "tyrants", and (in the words of failed Nevada Senatorial candidate Sharron Angle) "Second Amendment Solutions" might be needed ... Is she right? Or is she just "right-wing"? Inquiring minds want to know!

Mexican drug lords have influence all the way into that Liberal bastion "Bloombergland". Ya think maybe Mike should discuss with Barry not to be giving Jose any more weaponry, as part of a promise made to Sarah, to implement US gun control, "under the radar", if need be?

Just give it enough time and some other NUTBALL, that should have been easily recognized and institutionallized, will emerge, shoot up something else, and YOUR hero, Barry, can jump up and yell, "See there! I tried to tell ya!!!!"

Yeah Munster, you're RIGHT (for once)!

Ask any billionaire Mexican drug lord that buys his personal army's FULLY-AUTOMATIC firearms from China or Russia or Israel, that is when the Obama administration isn't selling them to him.

I agree with universal checks. So let’s move on. Universal checks will prevent felons and other previous lawbreakers from getting guns but we currently do not prosecute all attempts by these folks from trying to by a gun which is against the law. Why is that? I don’t know.

Universal background checks will make you feel good but until the Gov’t complies a searchable list of the diagnosed mentally ill, schizophrenics, bipolar etc, (illnesses you can have and pass a background check) you will be missing the on the large population who are most likely to commit the crimes that we find so disgusting. You don’t see anyone rushing this idea to the forefront because the ACLU will fight this as a privacy issue.

“We should look for ways to keep firearms out of the hands of criminals and the mentally ill prone to misusing them, but I oppose legislation that will be used as a vehicle to impose new Second Amendment restrictions on responsible, law-abiding gun owners. We should work to reduce tragic acts of violence by addressing violence at its source, including untreated mental illness, the lack of adequate information-sharing on mental health issues, and the breakdown of the family.” ~ U.S. Senator Marco Rubio

Captain Mark Kelly, astronaut and gun control advocate, bought two guns at his local store recently to prove how easy it is to get guns. The store owner refused his purchase and made a public statement on Monday. On Monday, the owner of Diamondback Police Supply Co., Inc. where Kelly bought his guns, Douglas MacKinlay announced he had returned Kelly’s money and would not sell him the guns after all. “While I support and respect Mark Kelly’s 2nd Amendment rights to purchase, possess, and use firearms in a safe and responsible manner, his recent statements to the media made it clear that his intent in purchasing the Sig Sauer M400 5.56mm rifle from us was for reasons other than for his personal use” “In light of this fact, I determined that it was in my company’s best interest to terminate this transaction prior to his returning to my store”.

R1KRA8, You have called that exactly right and that's why all those other monikers have been banned just as their current one likely will be.

free, you don't care where it's made, whether it's semi-auto or full "rock & roll", you're trying to paint anything other than: 1. a single-shot shotgun 2. a .22 caliber rifle

As something sinister and evil, that shouldn't be owned by civilians. Claiming a semi-auto rifle is the same as a full-auto firearm shows you'd rather be ignorant and parrot the liberal agenda than actually apply logic and reason to the debate.

Not to be answering for stick, but it wouldn't matter if it was an AK, a .22, a .410 or a 50 caliber if somebody was shooting it me. THEN, they would all be considered ASSAULT WEAPONS!

Actor Jon-Erik Hexum (Cover Up) died by shooting himself in head with a blank round. That gun, loaded with blanks, turned out to be an ASSAULT WEAPON to him.

Still Munster is a Cyber-Bully regardless of his idiocy, does not matter if he is free4all, Morningstar, changling, Knowsbest or 1 of the other monikers he goes by.

Maybe we should try to keep guns out of the hands of the mentally ill, you know, the ones who actually do the massacres. Universal background checks will fail until we put together a comprehensive and searchable list of the mentally unstable. We should also insist that the Feds enforce all laws on the books prior to enacting new ones.
