Are the Second Amendment "rights" of Americans really being "threatened" - or is this complaint just another gimmick to get the right-wing, reactionary base "fired up" for 2012?

Well Bob, if you're not going to do it, I guess I'll have to ... Some of today's "pretend patriots" might want to look at what is happening in Egypt ... A real "revolution" isn't pretty ... Some Americans, however, are claiming that President Obama and his administration are "tyrants", and (in the words of failed Nevada Senatorial candidate Sharron Angle) "Second Amendment Solutions" might be needed ... Is she right? Or is she just "right-wing"? Inquiring minds want to know!

Maybe we should try to keep guns out of the hands of the mentally ill, you know, the ones who actually do the massacres. Universal background checks will fail until we put together a comprehensive and searchable list of the mentally unstable. We should also insist that the Feds enforce all laws on the books prior to enacting new ones.

I'm still waiting to see what the focus of your agenda is. First, it's anything that has "AR or AK" in the name. Then you go off on the MOST regulated firearms in civilian hands, even though NONE of the legally held guns have been involved in crimes in decades.

Just because you continue to equate a full auto firearm with one looking similar, yet operates in semi-auto mode only, does not make that reality.

I'm just glad I don't know you personally, it seems like you're as cranky an old man as your buddy Freddie is. It must really*****to be that unhappy with the world!

No matter if it's full auto or semi auto, an AK is still an AK? Mine is a WASR-10, it's a clone. You claim at full auto, you're not nearly as accurate? Maybe if you're shooting at a target a couple hundred feet away. In a classroom, or movie theater, "spray and pray" works as well as blasting away with "00" buckshot!

After NBC’s David Gregory’s softball interview with Mayor Bloomberg today on gun control and assault weapons, , Wayne LaPierre, the NRA's CEO and executive vice president, chewed up and spit out David Gregory on NBC this morning. Gregory had no retort when presented facts by LaPierre. I doubt if you will ever see LaPierre on Gregory’s program again.

I could post any number of sources for full auto firearms, for sale to QUALIFIED buyers. We've discussed the QUALIFICATIONS to own full auto firearms before. Very few people have the money to afford to own one, let alone shoot one, they're pretty hungry for ammo.

Considering the fact that owners of full auto firearms are regulated stricter than any other gun owners in America, I fail to see why they'd be restricted further.

And for the record, I've shot full auto AR's, AK's, even the venerable "Ma Deuce" M-2 .50 BMG.

Oh, and Munster! Are you aware that in the search warrant for the Waco Davidian "compound", the undercover ATF agent described seeing "clandestine materials, such as The Shotgun News" at the Davidian property?

I'm surprised to hear you would even hold a copy of it. Did it leave burn marks on your wittle, wiberal hands?

Munster evidently has nothing better to do than spew his crap on these forums all day. Just look at his postings on everything !!

Munster - I have a subscription to Shotgun News. I've never seen ANY article for select-fire AKs being for sale IN ANY edition. When you blubber, "as far as I know none of you "experts " have ever fired one let alone a full auto one",... WRONG AGAIN! Even my son has fired a tripod-mounted machine gun, an Uzi and a HK MP-5 submachine gun (all full-auto). I let him skip a day of PRE-SCHOOL to go with me to shoot the guns.

The tripod-mount gun was longer than he was tall while laying behind it. HOW CUTE! Of course, you Libs would consider it your worst nightmare. LOL

And as far as I know none of you "experts " have ever fired one let alone a full auto one ! I have and I can tell you that at full auto you dont have a very good chance to hit something unless its close ! And believe it or not an AK is an AK regardless if its full auto or not ! It also doesnt make a difference if its from bulgaria, china, romania etc , ITS STILL AN AK !!

Well its for sure you KNOW NOTHING ABOUT IT !! But that wont stop you from showing just how much of a Know Nothing Expert you are !

Look numbnuts Its still an AK47 !!! And if you take the time to READ it you will also see a section of full autos for sale to legitiment, qualified buyers ! So why dont you shut your pie hole and go do a little research ! And konect , more ignorance from you isnt needed , these ads are there in almost every issue and again , shut your ignorant pie hole and go look before running your yak !

You have NEVER seen full auto AK-47's offered for sale to civilians in Shotgun News, or any other place. If you're gonna lie, at least try making them partially believable.

A semi-auto would be more efficient in your opinion? I guess that proves the worth of your opinions, not much!

An AK-47 has a practical rate of fire on full auto of around 100 rounds per minute, versus a practical rate of fire on semi-auto of about 40 rounds per minute. So, the full auto is about 2 1/2 times more efficient than the semi-auto rifle is.
