Mod, you're "copping out!" Tell us how enacting restricitve laws on law abiding people will keep criminals (who already ignore gun laws) from getting guns? How these proposed laws will make anyone safer?

"You gotta start somewhere?" Are you serious? One provision would "allow" a gun owner to "transfer" a firearm to a spouse or child for a period of a week! So, if you leave your firearm in your wife's control, for self defense, and you're gonna be gone longer than a week, you'd need to take the gun to a dealer, transfer it to the dealer, who would then run a background check on your wife before they could transfer it to her.

Sorry, but that has about as much logic and reason as a munster/free rant here!

I've never bought a gun that there wasn't a background check done. I've gone through more intense background checks, both in the military and civilian life. So just where does the insanity end?

Have you read the absolute lunacy of a background check law Schumer is offering? Law abiding folks aren't doing anything wrong, the criminals are!

IF these proposed laws made any sense, you'd get folks from both parties supporting them. You can't even talk all the liberals into supporting them. I guess some of them actually want re-elected in 2014.

For Feinstein's bill to even hit the Senate floor for a vote, Reid would have to allow it. He ain't looking like he's willing to end his Senate career. In case you forgot, that bill has to pass the House too before Barry gets it to sign.
