Are the Second Amendment "rights" of Americans really being "threatened" - or is this complaint just another gimmick to get the right-wing, reactionary base "fired up" for 2012?

Well Bob, if you're not going to do it, I guess I'll have to ... Some of today's "pretend patriots" might want to look at what is happening in Egypt ... A real "revolution" isn't pretty ... Some Americans, however, are claiming that President Obama and his administration are "tyrants", and (in the words of failed Nevada Senatorial candidate Sharron Angle) "Second Amendment Solutions" might be needed ... Is she right? Or is she just "right-wing"? Inquiring minds want to know!

No its not , an assault weapon is most commonly defined as a semi-automatic firearm possessing certain cosmetic, ergonomic, or construction features similar to those of military firearms. Semi-automatic firearms fire one bullet (round) each time the trigger is pulled; the spent cartridge case is ejected and another cartridge is loaded into the chamber, without requiring the manual operation of a bolt handle, a lever, or a sliding handgrip. An assault weapon has a detachable magazine, in conjunction with one, two, or more other features such as a pistol grip, a folding or collapsing stock, a flash suppressor, or a bayonet lug.

The Terms of Service and Privacy Policy does matter, if we can keep one wrongriki from showing up in these forums or the PN&S forums with his assault weapons of right-wing propaganda and bullsh*t and wild claims in his crusade of killing dozens topics it will be worth it. If there were a good, VALID reason for a wrongriki to post his repetitive right-wing propaganda and bullsh*t wild claims then maybe not but so far I have not heard any.

The only defense Munster can muster in his war against the Second Amendment rights of Americans is his repetitive offense of name-calling, insults, and wild claims.

I am with you stick. I cannot fathom what kind of twisted minds are so easily grasping the lies that their fellow gun owners are ALL psychos because some maniacs shot up schools and movie theaters. Why are the legal gun owners being persecuted as evil when we have deterred wars and crime??? THat is what Oneill and Munster need to answer. They say we are brainwashed by the NRA. They really need to take a hard look at who is doing the brainwashing (like the biased media that is bashing legal gun owners and will not report on the lack of prosecuted murder cases in Chicago)..One only needs to look at the past history of legal gun owners compared to the lies that are being spread about the NRA.

Do you have reading and comprehension issues? Ms. Fenistein's bill would have BANNED the manufacture and sale of over 250 different firearms, It would have BANNED the sale, or transfer, of any of the listed firearms currently in civilian hands. In essence, any current owner of any of these listed firearms wouldn't have even been able to legally transfer them to their heirs. As such, anyone in my family who handled any of my guns that are on the list after my death would be charged with a felony. Even though they would have been forced to turn these guns into the authorities for destruction.

How exactly do you take a gun to the cops for them to destroy it if you're breaking the law to handle it?

You have yet to offer a logical reason why law abiding citizens can't own these guns. Neither have the various anti-gun groups or law makers. An emotional response based on crimes committed by crazy people doesn't count!

No #1 Dum dum , they aren't banning guns ! You just cant let that propaganda go can you ? If anything gets done it will be to restrict military style assault weapons !Which so far ,you and your ignorant buddies haven't been able to show a legitimate reason to own !

You can buy normal military style ammo, and yes, even hollow point ammo. So? Neither style is anywhere near the type of ammo you talked about.

The military isn't allowed to use hollow point ammo, under the Geneva Convention policies. And given that hollow point rounds, of even common ammo like 9 mm, is more than a buck a round.

Lanza didn't use it, neither did the nut job in Colorado. From what I read, they didn't disclose what the crazy dude who shot Gabby Gifford used, but since they didn't attempt to ban hollow point rounds in this latest try at gun control, I'm betting he was using full metal jacketed ammo.

Try coming up with a valid reason to ban guns!
