In regards to weapon bans, assault and otherwiase When will Harry Reid start the gun control debate in the Senate? When will he call for a vote in the Senate? Why are so many Senators, including Al Franken, unwilling to take a stand on gun control? Who are the Cowards on this issue? Looks to me it is the ones on the left.

I joined the Army! They let me use an AR-15 that WOULD shoot full auto. Then, when I bought my civilian clone of an AR rifle, our government trusted me well enough to allow me to buy it.

But now, because of your demand that "no civilian" needs to own such a rifle, you really think that means anything to me? Afraid not, Bubba!

It is called standing up for my beliefs and proving my case with conviction. Something that you have failed to do. All you do is declare that no one needs these items.!!

There is NO COPPING OUT and your the one that cant defend a simple premise ! NO ONE NEEDS AN ASSAULT RIFLE ! PERIOD !Its pretty simple , there isnt any gun ban , you'll keep your shotguns etc ! But assault rifles will stay where they belong ,in the military ! If you want to play with one then join the army !

The only answer to this madness of abusing guns is to enforce the laws we have now. Dealing with the overcrowded prison population and not releasing habitual violent crimminals back onto the street because there is no money to keep them. Not making new laws that we cannot afford to enforse so politicians will have their place in history.

There are many reasons that civilians use assault rifles. Self defense, hunting coyotes, feral hogs (there are millions of them in Texas ruining crops and land) target practice. You can use an assault rifle for the same purposes as you would a hunting rifle. Which by the way is why people like them.

OK smarty pants Judge Munster. Explain the difference between an assault and a hunting rifle of the exact same caliber. I bet half of the people that want them banned (yes your trying to take my rights from me, I don't care how you dice it) do not have a clue what the difference is, between an assault rifle and a hunting rifle.
