Jobs Jobs Jobs

Job's Bill. How to pay for it: Obama has proposed: •A limit on itemized deductions and exemptions for individuals who earn over $200,000 and families earning over $250,000, a tax increase that would raise about $400 billion over 10 years, according to Lew. •A provision to treat carried interest -- the interest earned by investment fund managers -- as ordinary income, rather than taxing it at the capital gains rate. That would raise $18 billion, Lew said. •Scrapping various oil and gas tax provisions which raise $40 billion. All three ideas or versions of them were part of the budget plan Obama proposed in early 2009. A reporter reminded spokesman Lew that a Democratic-controlled House and Senate had chosen to not pass these measures in 2009 and 2010. “You had a Democratic House and a Democratic Senate and it went nowhere. So how are you going to get it done now with a Republican House?” he asked? Great question.

Employers are afraid to hire because they do not trust the president. They have no assurance he will not come up with some business wrecking scheme/tax/tariff like Obamacare.. He has stated over and over again he has no support for big business. The EPA is running rampant.. Small businesses didn't earn what they have. and on and on and on !!

OWO...you do bring up a great point about the cost of education. to me it is simply another way of financing ones future in much the same way you would finance anything else. simple return on investment. it really boils down to that. too many young people make bad decisions from the get-go with higher education preparation in both the educational and financial areas. one thing that i think is important for someone who decides to advance, irrespective of degree, is to have a marketable skill and be willing to relocate to an area of demand. soemtimes you have to go get IT as IT doesn't always go get you.

I know that's a stupid question because it is not in either of you's DNA to even remotely question anything liberal or democratic. Libs and dems don't even need anu ses because they don't have to poo py to you 2.

Why isn't anyone mad at these (mostly LIBERAL) "institutions" colleges that charge BIG money to get a (sometimes useless) education that is taking a lifetime to pay back all the while giving FREE RIDES to students from foreign countries. I had a motorcycle for sale 15 years or so ago and 2 fellows that could barely speak English came and looked at it from THE OHIO STATE Univ in Col where the got free rides for horticulture because they were from a poor country in South America... Room, board, books etc ALL PAID !! Why don't you complain about that sh!t instead of attacking those that have worked and are successful !!

the groundwork for today's terroristmovements and the modern wars that have sprung up about them was unintentionally laid more than 30 years ago with a series of business deals between the ruling Saudis and the powerful Bush family. The Saudis received investments and military protection in exchange for cooperation on lucrativeoil deals. The author claims that the result has been a shady alliance between "the world's two most powerful dynasties."

"Never before has an American president been so closely tied to a foreign power that harbors and supports our country's mortal enemies."

The Saudis’ potential influence on U.S. and international media was recently illustrated by the prince’s purchase of 5.6 percent of voting shares in News Corp., the world’s largest publisher of English newspapers. Moreover, Reuters reported on Dec. 5 that the prince announced his plan to “spread the right message” via a new television channel, “The Message,” to broadcast to the U.S. within two years.
