Veterans returning from combat duty are routinely screened for Post Traumatic Stress at the time of discharge. If later civilian problems are attributed to PTS, then the veteran should be referred to the VA for an evaluation and confirmation of this. A special court is hardly the way to go. To routinely attribute any later problems in civilian life to PTS is absurd; and it is really an affront to combat veterans (and all veterans) who get on with their lives after their service. The overwhelming portion of veterans not only get on with their lives, but are more successful and better adjusted than the members of civilian population at large. This was true for Vietnam veterans and it is certainly true for the first-class U. S. military today.

No. As a war veteran, I am so sick and tired of having veterans and/or their families say the military is to blame for a persons behavior. A person is and should be responsible for their own behavior. I had as rough a life growing up as alot of these whiners. But I kept going and I am responsible for my life. I had some truamatic happenings during the war that I could blame on the military. But I don't. It is time for people to be responsible for their own actions and not to be blaming others.
