has Biden asked any more wheel chair bound people to stand up at his rallies. Pregnant daughter doesn't matter, husband's dui was 22 years ago. These left wingers will do anything to get Palin.

I think McCain shot himself in the foot on this one. Shades of 1972 (when George McGovern, the Democratic Presidential candidate was hounded by the G.O.P. and replaced his v.p. choice Thomas Eagleton with Sargent Shriver, but it was too late. R.I.P. Don LaFontaine!

From this morning's Washington Post: ST. PAUL, Minn., Sept. 1 -- Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin employed a lobbying firm to secure almost $27 million in federal earmarks for a town of 6,700 residents while she was its mayor, according to an analysis by an independent government watchdog group.= This is something fiscal responsibility "maverick" John McCain has campaigned against. Love it.

WORST president (so far) or was that Warren Harding (fathered a black child out of wedlock)?

You seem to have issues with pregnacy...do you think that she is the only Mother with a child who was ever knocked up? LOL God...do you live in a shell of no reality? Do you even know how many of our young children are sexually active? Do you have a teenager? Just because she has a daugher who is pregnant doesn't make her or break her...and just so I can bring you back into reality....she isn't the first or last 17 year old to ever get pregnant. I think what your issue is...you can't find any real "fault" against Gov. Palin.

It does matter how qualified the president is to run the country - look at what GW has done to our country in the last 8 years-just ask yourself are we better off or not? BUT - the president is more of a figure head and hopefully whoever wins has good advisers and people surrounding him.

Look, Gerald Ford was an unknown toiling in the House of Representatives until he was picked to be Richard Nixon's vice-president. Dan Quayle was basically unknown before he was picked to be a vice pesidential candidate. Palin is right up here with the rest of them as far as ability, as far as I'm concerned.

Well, of course. And nowhere in the world is it such a popularity contest. Who can spend the most money and who gets the best spin and who can hoodwink the voters into believe whatever hype they can put out there (Karl Rove was likely behind the Swiftboat ads (Bush served one day n the National Guard); Rove was also likely behind the story that McCain had a black child out of wedlock (he adopted an orphan from Thailand), etc., etc. Hillary ot a scond term in the senate by promising to focus on the senate and NY State; Obama probably did not tell the voters of Illinois that he had a hankering for the presidency. Sarah Palin's sister was married to an Alaska State Trooper. In her capacity as governor, she tried to have him fired while her sister and the husband were going through a divorce. McCain comes from a military family and has two sons in the military. My oldest son will be 18 at the end of a McCain first term. Goulash seems vilified; what about the first ammendment? Hmm

I laugh as I read these posts and how involved people get in politics. Bottom line is this-all of them (politicians) promise a lot and deliver very little. They're liars. Plain and simple-both democrat and republican.

I've never seen this many people so trusting and accepting of whatever is handed to them. While it is true that Obama picked Biden because Obama is light in foreign policy experience, it is also true that the McCain choice of Palin is a calculate choice to pick up the disgruntled Clinton supporters, but it is an insult to all women because of Palin's views. Sure, W needed to respond to 9/11, but instead of going after the appropriate people (Bin Laden hiding in Afghanistan and Pakistan; hijackers from Saudi Arabia), we went to Iraq. It makes no sense. We are spending $300 million a day in Iraq and on the third anniversary of Katrina, people were just still in the (temporary) FEMA trailers. Do you all ACTUALLY believe W is doing a credible, decent job? If the majority of the people of Ohio believe that (not just Southeast Ohio) then I hope Ohio doesn't determine the winner in November. Me? I have no axe to grind; I may not even vote, because I don't like either choice.

Got it, I went to the RNC website... The experience they're referring to is when Palin was Major of an Alaskan village population 9,000 and her currently brief stint as Governor of Alaska, population 670,000. This is laughable "executive experience." She's only been governing Alaska for 1.5 years. Why the flip-flop by McCain on experience? Remember Republicans mocking Bill Clinton for Governing a small state? Little Rock alone has 670,000 people and Arkansas 2.8 million. FYI: Ohio is somewhere around 11 million and the US is 300 million.

I just found where formermttan predicted Palin will "mop up" Biden in a debate. LOL! This is gettin' crazy! A lot of fun though... BTW: Sarah Palin believes the entire universe is 6,000 years old - and she wants to force science teachers to teach this to our children! Crazy huh?
