I feel an investigation should have been done before this student was suspended indefinitely-icluding mental evaluation... some time away perhaps until it was complete and then a final decision. As for cutlerkid - see ya if you don't like it here, go back to Cinn. or get involved and help make a difference..

I have a little more to say, The real criminals in this area are the County Comissioners Especially Mr. Grimes. Do the research people about how the Half Cent Tax was supposed to be used for the Sheriff's Department for Training, Hiring, and Equipment. Here is the kicker, the Comissioners all agreed when it was brought up that it would be used only for the sheriff's office but Mr. grimes and friends found a loop hole in the Tax Code and are molesting the taxpayers of Washington County out of Law Enforcement Protection by spending the sales tax money on the JAIL payments and keeping all that money in a general fund to use at their discretion. Mr. Grimes you need to get some bigger sign than the ones you have to show how much bigger of an A------ you really are.

Here we go again, This freaking small town mentality. According to the comments posted here this guy should be serving time already. You people disgust me on your comments that you are so worried for your safety in town and driving through the college. The guy should sereve a little time off from school but stop with the Felony Bullsh-- Charges. I am a Certifed Law Enforcement Officer From Cincinnati and I am embarrassed to live out here with all the hippocrits that live around here. My Wife convinced me this was a nice area to live in and where I live it is for the most part but to hear all the small town gossip talk is ridiculous. As for MC Police Department they are a joke if you will not even let you officers carry. Glorified Security Guards at best. I think I will wear my Bulletproof vest next time I have to go by the college lol this town is too much.

Please disregard my last post. I had missed where it was reported that the Jeep was in the lot in the rear of 211 Fourth street. My appologies.

I would like the Marietta Times to report to me and everyone else if the vehicle these guns were found in was parked on the street or in a college owned parking lot? If it was on the street, even your poll is adding to the hysteria and over-reaction to this. Fact being if the vehicle was on the street it was then NOT on college property and thus it would not fall under the college’s jurisdiction. May we please have some open and honest reporting on this and not just sensationalism?

Yes. They overreacted to this and pretty much anything else they are involved with. Being that this is a small community without a whole lot of action like a big city would have and so in my opinion, they overreacted because it's their 10 minutes of fame and so they take full advantage of most minor situations such as this situation was. Not EVERY gun that people have kills for the wrong reason - people are just way to paranoid these days..
