Prep football: Southeast all-district honorees announced

A pair of Warren Warriors and one Waterford Wildcat was named first team All-District in football this season.

Quarterback Austin Klintworth and tight end David Ryan represented Warren on the Division IV list, while linebacker Austin Lang received honors on the Division VII list.

Klintworth threw for 1,358 on 104 completions had 14 touchdowns passes. The senior signal caller also ran for 544 yards on 132 carries.

Ryan, also a senior, hauled in 34 receptions for 576 yards, an average of 17 yards per catch.

Lang ran for 535 yards on 145 totes and was a leading tackler on the Wildcats defense this fall. One of three seniors on the roster, Lang was the heart soul of the team.

Warren’s Brandon Pahl, a lineman, and Waterford’s Tyler McCutcheon, a running back, were each named special mention in their respective divisions.

In Division III, Marietta’s Quinton Coffield and Garrett Davis each made the special mention All-District list.

Coffield lined up all over the field for the Tigers offensively this fall, running for 458 yards on 62 carries and catching 11 passes for 208 yards. Defensively, Coffield lined up at safety for MHS. Davis, a junior running back, carried the ball 36 times this season, accumulating 210 yards. Davis also played outside linebacker on defense.

In Division IV, the Belpre Golden Eagles were well-represented. Four players from the Greg Adams-coached squad were honored, three of which made the first team.

Junior running back Manney Tullius broke the 1,000-yard rushing mark this season on 134 carries and scored 12 total touchdowns.

Sophomore quarterback Tavian Miller threw for 675 yards and seven touchdowns on 53 completions and added 235 rushing yards on 98 totes.

Linebacker D.J. Leftwich, a senior, made the defensive first team for the Golden Eagles, while freshman Dejon Bedgood was selected as a special mention. Bedgood was Belpre’s leading receiver this fall with 356 yards on 20 catches.

Federal Hocking’s Delbert Crum and Peyton Seel each made first team All-District while Alfie Nichols was special mention.

Crum ran for 889 yards on 131 carries while Seel had 631 yards on 81 rushes.
