West Virginia signs recruits Derek Culver, Andrew Gordon
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) — West Virginia has signed two recruits for the 2018-19 men’s basketball season.
West Virginia coach Bob Huggins announced the signings Thursday of Derek Culver and Andrew “Drew” Gordon.
The 6-foot-10 Culver attends Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.
Culver averaged 16 points and 10 rebounds per game as a junior at Warren Harding High in Warren, Ohio. He was dismissed from the team last January for undisclosed reasons.
The 6-10 Gordon attends Northwest Florida State College in Niceville, Florida. He averaged nearly four points and four rebounds per game last year as a freshman. He is sitting out this season due to a knee injury and will have three years of eligibility remaining.
