Ruth Ellice (Lang) and Martin Urile Jellison were united in marriage during a double-ring ceremony held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2016, at Grace Baptist Church in Plain Township (Canton), officiated by the Rev. David Ryan of Grace Baptist, with involvement by the Rev. Dan Stevens of Bible Baptist Church in Parkersburg.
The bride is the daughter of Stanley and Cynthia Lang of Marietta. The bridegroom is the son of Larry and Jeanne Jellison of Quaker City.
Wedding colors were orange and silver.
Music was selected by the groom. The bride’s father sang “A Parent’s Prayer” during the unity ceremony.
Maid of honor was Elizabeth Lang, sister of the bride, of Marietta. Bridesmaids were Shannon Harsh of Alliance, Shanna Stewart of Belpre, and Julie Farrell of Cincinnati, friends of the bride.
Best man was Cole Haas, friend of the groom, of Caldwell. Groomsmen were Andrew Stoker of South Carolina and Kyle Schick of Virginia, friends of the groom; and Timothy Lang, brother of the bride, of Elkart, Ind.
The bride wore a strapless silk A-line gown with a corset back accented with beading, accompanied by an elbow-length veil with beading, and carried a bouquet of orange and white tiger lilies.
The couple took a four-day cruise in the Bahamas.
