‘Emergency Preparedness’ topic of safety council meeting
The Mid-Ohio Valley Safety Council will be meeting from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. and the program begins at noon.
The topic for the month is “Emergency Preparedness” with featured speaker Gary O’Brien, O’Brien’s Safety Services.
The cost of the meeting is $15 for Safety Council members (includes lunch). Membership in Safety Council is open to representatives of business and industry in the Mid-Ohio Valley interested in improving safety awareness in the work place.
The Mid-Ohio Valley Safety Council is a program of the Marietta Area Chamber of Commerce co-sponsored by the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation Division of Safety & Hygiene. Companies can earn up to 4% rebate on their workers compensation premium through participation in the Safety Council.
Luncheons are held with presentations on a wide variety of safety subjects as requested by the membership. Safety Council meets monthly, usually on the third Wednesday of each month.
