Chamber searching for new president
Marietta Area Chamber of Commerce begins search for new president
The Marietta Area Chamber of Commerce is conducting a nationwide search for its next president following the recent departure of Carrie Ankrom.
“We appreciate Carrie’s service to the Chamber since being appointed President in July 2015, and before that when she was our event planner,” said Kristopher Justice, Chairman of the MACC’s Board of Directors.
“We wish her the best moving forward.”
While the search is ongoing, local business owner Gary O’Brien has volunteered to serve as Interim President. O’Brien has served on the MACC Board of Directors since 2015. Two of his companies, O’Brien’s Safety Services, LLC and O’Brien’s Confined Space Rescue Services, LLC, are members of the MACC.
During the transition, the MACC will continue to host programming for the benefit of its over 600 members. The Mid-Ohio Valley Safety Council will still be meeting monthly through Zoom. The monthly Boost Your Business and Coffee Chats will continue to take place as scheduled. Kelsy Eaton, Tayla Kemp, Gary, and the entire MACC family will be available to help members with any questions or issues that may be impacting their businesses.
