Rotary announces scholarship winners
The Rotary Club of Marietta announces the recipients of its annual Scholarship Program. The Scholarship Program has been a stalwart of the Club for many years and along with the Club’s sponsorship of Safetytown is one of the signature events every year.
Co-Chair Alice Chapman stated, “It would have been the easiest thing in the world for us to skip the program this year and nobody would have questioned our decision but that thought simply did not cross our minds. This program is too important to our recipients and too important for our Club for us to skip a year, even under these trying circumstances. We know historically how these scholarships can make a real difference in these students’ lives and we can’t let them down.”
The ceremony, which took place Thursday, July 30, featured opening remarks by a Rotary host followed by the remarks from their student scholarship recipient.
