¯ Dale United Methodist Church has canceled its Annual November Turkey/Ham Dinner due to COVID-19. Donations are appreciated. ¯ The Castle Historic House Museum has canceled holiday house tours due to recent increases in COVID-19 cases in Ohio.
¯ Barlow Presbyterian Church will participate in Christmas in the Village from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Dec. 5. Items for sale will include homemade cookies by the dozen, jars of spiced tea mix, homemade mincemeat, wood crafts and material items. ¯ Dally Memorial Library will raffle a 10-inch Star Wars The Mandalorian Baby Yoda 5 p.m. Dec. 15. It is on display at the Citizens National Bank in Sardis. Tickets are one for $1 or six for $5 and can be purchased at Dally Memorial Library or the Citizens National Bank – Sardis. All proceeds benefit Dally Memorial Library.
¯ Belpre Rotary Club and Belpre Area Veterans will observe Wreaths Across America 10 a.m. Dec. 19 at Cedarville Cemetery off Cross Street on Cemetery Drive in Belpre. Participants will honor and place wreaths on graves of the 18 Revolutionary War soldiers buried at the cemetery. The public is invited.
¯ The Castle will hold a virtual solstice sunset watch at Sacra Via Park 4:45 to 5:15 p.m. Dec. 21. During this program, Wes Clarke will discuss the astronomical alignments of Marietta’s mound structures. This event is free. Donations encouraged.
¯ The Castle will host a virtual Christmas Pudding Cooking Class from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday. Walk through the steps of making a traditional steamed Christmas pudding and learn the history behind this bygone holiday tradition. Cost of registration is $5.

Brian Cushing of Historic Locust Grove in Kentucky will show how to create this cocktail from home while sharing the background behind historical holiday punches. ¯ All youth interested in serving on the 2021 Washington County and/or Barlow Junior Fair Boards are asked to apply now.
