Small Business Saturday slated

Belpre Area Chamber of Commerce invites area shoppers to experience all the Belpre area has to offer at its Shop Small/Shop Local event Saturday, Nov. 28 during regular business hours in the Belpre Area, Marietta and Parkersburg, and St. Rt. 339 areas, according to Karen Waller, BACC Executive Director. BACC partners with “Parkersburg News and Sentinel”, Elite Signs, and iHeart Radio for local publicity.

Chamber member businesses have been encouraged to offer specials that day and/or sponsor a drawing for a gift certificate or card usable at their location. Shoppers should watch for special Shop Small/Shop Local signs in front of Belpre Area businesses, according to Waller.

Over 40 retail businesses, services and nonprofits are joining as partners to encourage shoppers to investigate the retail, tourism and service stops to be found in the local area.

Together, the effort to remind shoppers of the advantages of local purchasing is stronger when we work as a unit with our partners. The current health situation makes it even more vital for us to support businesses who provide jobs plus safe shopping and eating environments. We remind everyone to Shop Small/Shop Local.”
