Morgan County announces vaccine registration schedule

The Morgan County Health Department (MCHD) with assistance fromthe Morgan County EMA, is leading the Morgan County efforts to vaccinate eligible residents against COVID-19.

The goals of Phase 1B of COVID-19 vaccine distribution are to save lives and to have K-12 students back in school full time by March 1.

Providers registered in Morgan County will receive a limited supply of doses for specific populations identified in Ohio’s Phase1B.

The date and age of those eligible to start receiving vaccinations include:

¯ The week of Jan. 19: 80 years of age and older.

¯ The week of Jan. 25: 75 years of age and older; those with severe congenital or developmental disorders.

¯ The week of Feb. 1: 70 years of age and older; employees in all K-12 schools that want to go back, or to remain, educating in person.

¯ The week of Feb. 8: 65 years of age and older.

The following providers in Morgan County are receiving 100 doses of vaccine during the week of Jan. 18 from the Ohio Department of Health. Please do not register multiple times with multiple providers.

Please do not show up at these locations for a vaccinationwithout contacting the provider first.

Qualifying Phase 1B recipients are asked to call the health department at 740-962-4572 to be placed on our COVID-19 vaccine list.

Vaccines supply is very limited at this time. As each new group identified in Phase 1B begins, please remember that vaccinations may not be complete for the previously identified groups.
