Lillian Swisher noted that while having (of her nine children) her school-aged students split between two cohorts this year has been challenging, it’s been a benefit to stable routines this year.

“It’s kept us on a schedule each week,” she said.

But she’s still nervous about the unknowns for next school year when Marietta City Schools’ redistricting is predicted to split her children between three buildings.

“There’s so much that’s not known, and my kids, even though we live in Norwood and could walk to Phillips, they love it here.”

According to district leadership, planning for redistricting during the 2021-2022 school year is still underway.
