Wood Sheriff investigating suspicious death

The Wood County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the suspicious death of one local male and fatal injury of a second, after responding to a 911 call where it was reported that there had been an incident involving a nail gun at 1250 Sunshine Mountain Road, Williamstown around 2:29 p.m. Sunday.

The second male, who suffered fatal injuries was being treated at Marietta Memorial Hospital as of Sunday evening.

According to Wood County Sheriff Steve Stephens, detectives are obtaining a search warrant for the house. Further information was not available Sunday evening.
