Christmas in July

Special Parade, Foam Party held on Saturday

Vehicles, people and boats floated through Downtown Marietta Saturday night for Marietta’s first-ever Christmas in July Parade, and community members certainly showed up for it. Marietta Main Street posted a thanks to everyone involved on their main page.

“Big thanks to event sponsor Marietta College, to every float for getting into the spirit of the parade theme, and of course to Santa Claus for making a long trip to Marietta to be with us today.” The last vehicle to make its way through the parade held Santa Claus, who waved to the children as he passed. According to Marietta Main Street, Santa said, “It was fun to see all the little smiling faces yelling Santa! See everyone again for Christmas!”

Kids piled into Muskingum Park for a Foam Dance Party for Kids sponsored by The Foam Garage following the Christmas in July Parade in Marietta Saturday night.
