Belpre man accused of sexual conduct with young child
BELPRE – A Belpre man has been charged with engaging in sexual conduct with an infant relative, investigators reported Thursday.
Milford Eagle III, 27, of Wyatt Lane, was arrested on Wednesday after an investigation was initiated on July 14 when the Belpre Police Department received information from an Internet Crimes Against Children Cybertip regarding Eagle possessing, manufacturing or distributing child pornography, according to a release from the Southeastern Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force, which consists of law enforcement agencies and prosecutor’s offices from Washington, Athens, Meigs, Monroe, Morgan and Noble counties. The image/video file showed an infant being raped by an adult male, the release said.
On July 15, a search warrant was obtained to search for and seize evidence, which included Eagle’s cell phone, the release said.
During the execution of the warrant, and due to the severity of the allegations, an infant was removed from the residence and placed in the custody of Washington County Children Services, the release said.
The examination of Milford’s cell phone yielded another video file, which showed an infant being raped by an adult male, the release said.
The surroundings visible in the video were confirmed to be the same as the surroundings inside Eagle’s residence, it said. A red tattoo visible on the adult male’s left hand appeared to be the same red tattoo on Eagle’s left hand, the release said.
On Wednesday, a second search warrant was obtained for Eagle’s residence where additional evidence was collected.
Eagle was arrested and charged with rape, a felony of the first-degree, the release said. He is in custody at the Washington County Jail.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau and the Southeastern Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force, which operates under the Ohio Attorney General’s Ohio Organized Crime Investigations Commission, assisted Belpre Police with the investigation.
