Reno Area Water and Sewer District Board meeting

The Reno Area Water and Sewer District Board will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, at the Reno Water Office, 170 Mount Tom Rd. The public is welcome.

Washington County Behavioral Health Board meeting

Buckeye Hills Regional Council meeting

The District 18 Ohio Public Works Fiscal Year 2026 (Round 39) Executive Committee meeting will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, at Buckeye Hills Regional Council. The purpose of this meeting is to review and approve the Fiscal Year 2026 (Round 39) State Capital Improvement Program (SCIP) and the Local Transportation Improvement Program (LTIP) slate of projects. Public steak fry

Beverly American Legion Post 389 will hold a public steak fry from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at the Post Home, 114 Fifth St., Beverly. A meal is $15 and includes steak, a baked potato, salad and a roll.

Christmas Craft Bazaar

Memorial Health System will hold its annual Christmas Craft Bazaar from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at the First Church of the Nazarene, 100 Millcreek Rd., Marietta. Lots of local artists will be present. A concession stand, bake sale and raffles will also be available. Proceeds will benefit various projects and services throughout Memorial and Selby Hospitals. Community breakfast buffet

Matamoras #374, Free and Accepted Masons, 301 Main St., New Matamoras, will hold a community breakfast buffet from 8-11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7. The breakfast includes scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, sausage gravy, hash browns, biscuits, pancakes, cinnamon roll, orange juice, and coffee. The public is invited to attend. Carry out is available. The suggested donation is $7 per person. Profits from the breakfast support Grand Lodge of Ohio Charitable Foundation, the Ohio Masonic Communities, and local charities.

Breakfast with Santa

Belpre Heights Church, 720 Clement Ave., Belpre, will hold Breakfast with Santa from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7.

Cookie Extravaganza

GoPacks will be hosting a Cookie Extravaganza to raise money to fight local food insecurity from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at the First Presbyterian Church, 501 Fourth St., Marietta. The public is invited to come in, decide how many cookies you want to buy, select your holiday cookie plate and walk through and choose your cookies, paying per dozen for the cookies you select. Admission is free.

Christmas Display and Treats Auction

The Beverly Lions Club will have their 19th Christmas Display and Treats Auction on Sunday Dec. 8, at Beverly Methodist Church, 700 Park St. The viewing begins at 1 p.m. and the auction starts at 2 p.m. All funds raised will be divided between diabetes research and pediatric cancer. Refreshments will be available.

WCHS annual Christmas Open House

Washington County Historical Society’s Anchorage Committee will host their annual Christmas Open House from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, at the Anchorage, 424 George St., Marietta. House staff will be dressed in their Victorian best to greet guests with holiday cheer. Bring a donation for the Gospel Mission Food Pantry for entry and downstairs festivities. Bring a $5 donation to WCHS to visit the upper floors of the Anchorage.

Hope for the Holidays Candlelight Vigil

Hope for the Holidays: A candlelight vigil remembering loved ones lost to suicide will be held at 6 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 8, at 710 Colegate Dr., Marietta, on the Washington State College of Ohio’s campus lawn. Attendees are invited to bring a picture of a loved one for the memory table. The event is open to the public and is brought to you by Washington State College of Ohio, Washington County Behavioral Health Board and the Suicide Awareness Alliance of Washington County.

Santa Run

The Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual Santa Run at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15. Children in the Oak Grove area should listen for the fire truck’s siren to announce Santa’s arrival on their street. The department will also be collecting non-perishable food items for the Gospel Mission Food Pantry.

Classes/Workshops/Seminars

Zumba Classes

Zumba classes will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and 11:30 a.m. Monday at the O’Neill Center. The cost is $5 per class or $25 for six classes. All ages welcome. For more information, call 740-373-3914.
