A two-week event to celebrate Marietta restaurants started Monday through the Marietta Main Street’s Fall Feast.

Main Street Executive Director Jen Tinkler said the event has been going on for three years and its purpose is “to drive business to the (city’s) restaurants.”

A total of 16 restaurants from downtown Marietta and Harmar Village are participating, according to Tinkler, and Fall Feast runs through Nov. 18.

The participating restaurants are: Spanglish, McKenna’s Market, Spagna’s, Boathouse BBQ, Sugga Mommas Bakery & BBQ, Busy Bee, Jeremiah’s Coffee House, Wilky’s Sports Bar, Town House, J’s Dog House, Levee House Bistro, The Original Pizza Place, Over the Moon Pub & Pizza, Harmar Tavern, Riverfront Bar & Grill, Austyn’s, according to a Marietta Main Street Facebook post about the event.

Diners must pick up a bingo card at a participating restaurant and then eat at four restaurants in a row plus one restaurant of their choice from the card to make a bingo, according to Tinkler.

Then they can turn in their bingo card at one of the restaurants, she said, and they can fill out as many as they want in the two weeks. She said one completed bingo card equals one entry into a drawing.

The prize, according to Tinkler, is a basket with more than $250 in gift certificates and merchandise from the participating restaurants.

Tinkler will pick up the completed bingo cards from the restaurants that participated in Fall Feast and then draw the winner of the basket on a Facebook Live event on Nov. 20 or Nov. 21, she said.

In the past, 75 to 100 people have participated in Fall Feast and while she hasn’t checked in with the restaurants or participants yet, in past years the businesses have given positive feedback about the event and said they like seeing new faces and seeing a lot of people coming in.

She said people who participate in the event by dining at the restaurants like Fall Feast because “they get to try new things … they like the variety of the (bingo) card.”
