The 110th Annual Dinner of the Marietta Area Chamber of Commerce will be Monday, March 10, at the Dyson-Baudo Recreation Center at Marietta College.

Doors open at 4:30 p.m. where guests are invited to network and visit the wide variety of sponsorship tables around the room. Following a dinner served by Parkhurst catering, attendees will hear from speaker Stephanie Stuckey before the honorees are announced for the MACC Agricultural Award, the Gabe Zide Citizen of the Year Award, the Marietta Area Chamber of Commerce Business Leader of the Year Award and the new Business of the Year Award.

Stuckey is CEO of Stuckey’s, known for generations as a highway oasis serving up pecan log rolls and kitschy souvenirs. Founded in 1937 by her grandfather, W.S. Stuckey Sr. in Eastman, Ga., Stuckey’s grew into over 350 stores nationwide by its peak in the 1970’s. The company was sold in 1964 and declined for decades under a series of corporate owners. Stuckey’s returned to the family in 1985 under the leadership of W.S. Bill Stuckey Jr. and is now being continued with Bill’s daughter, Stephanie. The company acquired a pecan shelling and candy plant and has been scaling production of the Stuckey’s branded snacks and sweets – including the iconic pecan log roll – to be sold in almost 5,000 retail stores nationwide.

Stuckey recently spoke at a special business Q&A at Marietta College and to the Economic Roundtable of the Ohio Valley last April.

Tickets are $70 for Chamber members and $80 for non-members. Tickets include admission, networking opportunities during social hour, a three-course meal and a community awards presentation.
