Sewer work to cause road closures
Marietta’s Wastewater Department has announced upcoming sanitary sewer repair projects that will temporarily impact traffic and parking in two areas.
Work will be conducted in the westbound lane of Greene Street near 747 and 749 Greene St. Closures began on Jan. 9 and will continue through Thursday.
No parking will be permitted on the north side of the street in front of these addresses during the repairs. The westbound lane will be closed at Hart Street, with traffic redirected via Hart Street.
From Monday to Wednesday, the department will repair the sanitary sewer main at 118 Miller Ave. Parking will be prohibited on both sides of the street from 116 to 120 Miller Ave. The road will be closed in both directions until the work is completed.
Work in both areas will occur between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on weekdays. Drivers are advised to plan alternate routes and adhere to posted detour signs.
Residents with concerns about landscaping or other issues related to the repairs are encouraged to contact Wastewater Collections Foreman Chris Adams at 740-373-3858, extension 110.
