MCCONNELSVILLE — The Morgan Local School District’s superintendent is leaving.
According to a recent post on the district’s Facebook page, the Board of Education and Superintendent Kristi Barker “have mutually agreed that it is in the best interest of the District given its current challenges for her to pursue other professional opportunities.”
Barker, hired by the district in 2019, was on paid administrative leave beginning Monday, the post said.
Details of the separation agreement are pending board approval. The next Morgan Local Board of Education meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, March 10, at Morgan High School.
Attempts to reach Barker, district Treasurer Susan Gable and a board member were unsuccessful Monday.
