PARKERSBURG — The Smoot Theatre will host its 11th Annual Smoot Spring Sing on Saturday.

The event is sponsored by The Smoot Theatre Children’s Chorus and features young area singers who received invitations from their music teacher or a STCC member.

Area music teachers were asked by the chorus staff to select their school’s best singers and give them the opportunity to sing on the Smoot stage with this children’s vocal ensemble.

The 45 invited guest singers will join the STCC members for a day of musical activities, learning vocal techniques and new songs, which they will then perform at 4 p.m. in a free concert open to the public.

Also participating in the day’s activities and concert will be The Smoot Theatre Boys

Ensemble and The Smoot Theatre Girls Ensemble. The vocal ensembles are under the direction of Barbara Full, Marsha Parsons, Janet Blessing, Cathy Martin and Felice Jorgeson.
