Wood County Commission makes appointments
PARKERSBURG — The Wood County Commission made a number of appointments to local boards and commissions.
Commissioner Robert Tebay was present in person during Monday’s meeting while Commission President Blair Couch and Commissioner Jimmy Colombo participated by phone.
The commission unanimously approved appointing Todd Shingleton to the Mineral Wells Public Service District; Roy Schleicher and Jeremy Montgomery to the Wood County Planning Commission; John Kelly, Angi Smith, Harry Silvis, Todd Nestor, Chris Cochrane, Mike Matheny, Andy Daniel, Ryan Taylor, Shawn Taylor, Linda Wigal and Bob Fehrenbacher to the Wood County Development Authority; and Angela Brunicardi-Doss, Charles Hasse, Tonya Fought, Kenny Church and Doug Renner to the Wood County Community Corrections Board.
“Those boards all want them back,” county Administrator Marty Seufer said.
The commission approved putting Patsy Hardy in nomination for reappointment to the Greater Parkersburg Convention and Visitors Bureau board.
The commission got letters from two people who have expressed interest in serving on the Lubeck Public Service District’s board to fill a couple of openings, Seufer said. They are Tim Goosman and former Wood County Board of Education member Rick Olcott.
The commissioners agreed they will bring both men in before the commission to conduct interviews.
