MARIETTA – Two sections of the Marietta bike path closed Tuesday so contractors could clean and assess a 42-inch main sewer line.

Closures will affect the section behind the Water Reclamation Plant and the section from Fourth and Ohio streets to Fifth and Wayne streets. The closures are expected to last about four weeks, according to the city.

Residents are asked to avoid the area while crews complete the work.
