Local photographer hosts gallery fundraiser
Local photographer Keri Seevers with MoniKeri Imaging recently hosted Project Beauty, a fundraising photoshoot and gallery show celebrating the natural beauty of local young women.
Project Beauty promotes a young woman’s natural beauty by creating portraits without makeup. Nineteen hundred dollars and several hundred dollars in donations of hygiene products were collected at MoniKeri’s third annual Project Beauty and were then presented to The Gospel Mission Food Pantry.
Project Beauty’s 42 participants ranged in age from 12-21 and represented half a dozen local schools and colleges. The July 5 Gallery Show displayed all of the images from the photoshoots and was attended by over 200 friends, family and community members.
Over the past three years, MoniKeri Imaging has raised more than $4,000 for local charities through Project Beauty. To view this year’s images visit monikeri.pixieset.com/projectbeauty2019.
