Coolville Founder’s Day program Saturday

The annual Coolville Founder’s Day program will be Saturday in Coolville, with activities, vendors and entertainment throughout the day along Coolville’s Main Street.

Founder’s Day will kick off at 11 a.m. with the annual parade, which will begin lining up an hour earlier at the old Hilltop.

There will also be live entertainment throughout the day, until 11 p.m., including a square dance from 6 to 9 p.m.

The event will also feature food, children’s games, a bounce house, a kiddie tractor pull at noon, free blood pressure checks and other activities and attractions. Vendors will also be setting up to sell a variety of items and vendor space is available for $10 a space. Interested vendors can contact Ginger Smith at 740-707-5344.

The event will also feature a car show sponsored by Coolville Memorial Park on Main Street in front of Coolville Elementary School.

Registration for the car show will be 9 a.m. to 1 pm. with a $10 entry fee per vehicle. There will be contestant-judged awards presented at 3 p.m., along with Top 40 awards and a six-foot Best of Show trophy. There will also be prize drawings and food.
