Rhonda Vincent performs at Stuart’s

Stuart’s Opera House will host a special award winning bluegrass matinee with Rhonda Vincent and The Rage at 3 p.m. Sunday in Nelsonville.

Vincent’s career spans 24 albums and she has worked with everyone from Dolly Parton and George Jones to Faith Hill. She has received more than 40 awards including an unprecedented seven consecutive Female Vocalist of the Year awards from the International Bluegrass Music Association, along with multiple Grammy nominations. Add in her band, The Rage, and they emerge as the most awarded band in bluegrass music with more than 100 honors.
Vincent was dubbed “The New Queen of Bluegrass” by the Wall Street Journal. She began her musical journey at the age of 3, performing alongside her family members on what was called The Sally Mountain Show. She sang bluegrass as a teenager, then recorded a couple of mainstream country albums in the 1990s, before putting together her first bluegrass band.
Vincent has performed and recorded with a large number of top artists, including Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Keith Urban, Alan Jackson, Faith Hill, Martina McBride, Daryle Singletary, Richard Marx, Hank Williams Jr. and more.
