Meetings

¯ The Washington State Community College Board of Trustees will hold its monthly meeting at 4 p.m. Monday in the Community Room of the Main Building.

¯The Operations Committee of the Warren Local Board of Education will meet at 5 p.m. Monday. The Policy Committee will also meet immediately following the regular board meeting Monday. All meetings will be held at the Warren Local Administration Office, 220 Sweetapple Road, Vincent.

¯ Reno Water and Sewer District will hold its regularly scheduled meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Reno Water office, 170 Mount Tom Road. Safe distancing will be practiced and masks are appreciated because of COVID. The public is welcome.

¯ The Washington County Family & Children First Council Meeting will be held virtually at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Those wishing to participate virtually are asked to contact Cindy Davis at fcfc@suddenlinkmail.com or call 740-376-7081.

¯ Grandview Township will hold 2021 regular meetings at 6 p.m. the first Monday of each month at the township hall. The following months will be held on different dates: July 6, and Sept. 13. These meetings will also be held at 6 p.m.

¯ Liberty Township will hold 2021 regular monthly meetings at 7 p.m. the second Monday of each month.

¯ Decatur Township will hold its monthly public meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at the township building on Welch Road in Cutler.

Events

¯ Beverly American Legion Post 389 on 5th Street will host an all-you-can-eat fish fry from 5-7 p.m. today. The meal costs $9 and includes fries and coleslaw. Music to follow by Sam Clark from 7-10 p.m. Public welcome.

¯ Fearing Township Vol. Fire Dept. will hold its annual March dinner at 4 p.m. March 20. Menu includes chicken or baked steak with mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, bread and dessert. Coffee and tea are included. Adult plate costs $8 and child’s plate costs $4. Drive-thru or limited socially distanced seating. ¯ First Congregational Church United Church of Christ (318 Front St. in Marietta) will continue its weekly free breakfast as take-out from 8:30-10 a.m. each Saturday. All are welcome.

¯ The Sardis Vol. Fire Dept. will sponsor its annual fish fry from 4-7 p.m. each Friday through April 2 at the Sardis Fire Hall on State Route 255. The menu includes coleman fish sandwiches and fish sandwich dinners with a choice of fries, coleslaw, baked beans, and mac & cheese. Take-out and limited delivery available; no dine-in. Masks and social distancing required. To place an order, call 740-483-1048.

¯ St. Mary Catholic School will host a Lenten Drive-thru Fish Fry from 5-7 p.m. every Friday through March 26. The meal includes fried fish, french fries, green beans and coleslaw. The cost per meal is $10. No call ahead orders; drive-thru service only. Enter through Marion or Montgomery alley entrances.

Classes/Workshops/Programs/Seminars

¯ The Castle, in partnership with The Cook’s Shop in Marietta, will present “Beyond Corned Beef and Cabbage: A Traditional Irish Meal,” a virtual food history cooking class, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Monday. The class will be conducted via Zoom and registration is $8 per attendee. Pre-registration is required and available at mariettacastle.org.

¯ The Marietta Family YMCA will host the Spring/Summer 5K Virtual Series between March and May. Events include Hop To It Race, April 10-16, and Stronger Together Run, May 15-21. For more information and registration, visit mariettaymca.org.

Miscellaneous

¯ The Annual Financial Report for Muskingum Township for the fiscal year 2020 has been completed and is available for public inspection. An appointment can be made at 740-373-0189.

¯ The 2020 Financial Report for Warren Township, Washington County, Ohio has been filed with the Auditor of State’s office. The financial report is on file at the Warren Township Administration office for public inspection. For an appointment to review the financial report, call the administration office at 740-374-9970.

¯ Ludlow Township has completed the financial report for 2020 and it has been submitted to the Auditor of The State of Ohio. A copy is on file at the office of Ludlow Township.

¯ The Annual Auditor of State Financial report for 2020 for the Village of Lower Salem is complete and available at the clerk-treasurer’s home. For more information, call Janet Kidd at 740-585-2547.
